On a different Samsung TV, there is a Picture Reset in the Picture Menu on the OSD. (It's at the bottom of the list.) Similarly the sound reset is in the Sound menu. There is no global reset. (If your Samsung TV's OSD menus are different try under the Support menu.)

I hope this helps.

Model; Samsung LE32R73BD.
UNABLE TO SELECT DVB-T MENU, (and yes in digital tv mode), plus constantly displays digital ITV in the corner.
Analogue Menu OK. Plug and play only tunes analogue. Have unplugged from mains, and as DVB-T menu is not coming up cannot therefore select factory reset. Software glitch.

My Panasonic Viera 32 inch LCD connects to my xbox but it is black and white and also only comp cord and tv are accessible and i have no remote

Reset the TV to factory reset. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. I have a 50 inch Samsung Plasma Display TV PS50Q91HDX/XSA. I would like to know if a USB memory stick will work on this TV to watch movies. Thank you.

If you have a usb input and the set has the correct codecs built in, you will be able to watch a movie. May not work with all files. The usb input on a dvd blue ray will usually work with everything however.

Make a hard reset to this set and check. Unplug it from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 5 minutes or so. This should make the set a hard reset. Good luck.

Have to reset or it is reset to factory settings?

Has anyone been playing with this TV, i.e. repairing it, replacing boards etc?

I believe - do not know it for a fact - that Samsung has this protection in palce which identifies the boards in a TV and once you switch a board the TV needs to go through a service re-administration to remember its current configuration.

There's no explanation of why would a TV need to do that other than to restrict users to Samsung service centers only.

Again I do not know this for a fact, but I have seen other Samsung TVs that do exactly the same and they start doing it upon replacing boards on them. It's a simple logic.
