You have to know if the WiFi at home is “N” Network...
What you have in your Toshiba is “G”...
You will have to buy an “N” wireless USB Adapter…

SOURCE: toshiba tecra 8200 power problem

The power button is on the LEFT side of the computer, under the Ctrl key, slightly closer to you. It is covered by a sliding door which slides BACK to open and expose the push-ON button.

My Tecra 8200 laptop's screen dims automatically when I go to battery power. I need to know how to disable this automatic feature without shutting down my dvd video.

Need to down load system disk for tecra 8200
I would suggest using a recovery disk, but if you need the data off of it I would take it to the a repair shop.

Toshiba Tecra 8000.how do i activate wireless?
it should work even without using the cd based on my experience. just be sure your wifi in your laptop is on. it should let you know if the wifi light is turned on on your laptop.
