Don't know my WEP key

Often times the WEP key is the serial number printed on your router. If that doesn't work, log into your router through your web browser (just type the router's IP address into the browser's address bar and then enter your username and password) and under Wireless Settings or Security Settings or something similar, you should be able to find the WEP key.

How do i find my Wep key for my netgear router

you have to access the GUI of your router. if you dont know the ip address. go to command prompt and type in ipconfig. look for the gateway ip address and type it directly to your I.E address bar. once you are inside the router interface, ussually WEP key is under wireleess security. go over there and check your WEP key. you can also change the WEP key.

I need to know my wep key.

go to your modem or router's configuration page. depending on the brand of your device, the gateway address could change. check it by running the command prompt and issuing the ipconfig command. check the gateway address then type that on your browser's address bar. when you're on your modem/router's page, login. again, the login credential will depend on the brand of your device. once you're in, look for the wireless setting and you will get your WEP key there.

Cannot connect to internet error code 51330 is showing

Error Code: 51330 This error code usually indicates a problem relating to wireless security. Please try the following troubleshooting:
  1. Are you using WEP or WPA security on your router?
    1. Log into the router using the default IP (consult your router's manual for assistance)
    2. Locate the "wireless security" section of your router settings and find the WEP or WPA key.
    3. If you are using 64-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 10-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F.
    4. If you are using 128-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 26-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F.
    5. The WEP Key must be a Hexadecimal (0-9, A-F, no other special characters or letters).
    6. If your router has multiple slots for a WEP Key, make sure the active key is the one in the #1 slot.
    7. If you are using WPA, the Wii console is compatible with the following types:
      • WPA - PSK (TKIP)
      • WPA - PSK (AES)
      • WPA2 - PSK (AES)

  2. If your WEP or WPA key is correct, then the problem might be related to MAC address filtering:
    1. From the router settings, locate the "MAC address filter" settings (also known as "access control", "access list", or "network filter" depending on your router model).
    2. If the Mac address filter is set to "enabled", then you must add the Wii's MAC address to the "allowed" list. You can locate the Wii's MAC address from the "console information" page (located under "Internet" in the Wii Settings).
    3. If the Mac address filter was disabled, then continue troubleshooting.

Wep address

WEP address is your security key to get on the wireless network. New access point usually do not have one assigned. You need to get into the router and enter it in, like a password. If you haven't setup the network, then someone else did and you need to get the WEP key from that person. If you can get it, then you could reset the router to factory defaults by pressing and holding the button in the back of the router for 30 seconds. Let the router reboot and look for a wireless network called "LINKSYS" or "DLINK" or something like that. You should be able to connect without entering a WEP key. If your computer asks you for one then leave it blank or look in the manual for the default WEP key.

Need network name and WEP key or passphrase.

the wep key is something that was created by whoever set up your router. the network information can be found several ways
first way is to click start then run on pc type cmd. in the new window type ipconfig.. the default gateway will be shown as ip address.. type that ip address in explorer. it will be something like 198.162.1.254 the router will show its information on the page that opens but not the wep key. if you cant get the wep key you already have then reset your router with the button on the back of it and then follow the instruction above.. be sure to make a new wep key, do not leave you network unprotected..

How do I get a wep key and what is it?

A wep key is a type of internet security (mostly used on routers) to prevent any unauthorized access to their internet connection. And to get a key, go to the router you wanted to connect to and ask for the wep key and to add you to their mac address book, or if you own one, go to the txt. document that was downloaded on your desktop and look at where it says network security key, and if your router has a mac address filter, add your ds's mac address to the mack address book on your router. then connect and type the key.

I am visiting my aunt, she has att broad band with wireless, I put the wep key in and it gives me limited or no connectivity. It gave me a 168 address so I manually put in a 192 address, got rid of limited...

First take off WEP.
Next, ensure DHCP is enabled on router.
Don't set a manual IP address in computer, it should auto detect.
You probably have the WEP key wrong

Use the HEX WEP key in windows, do not use a pass phrase.

Wep key to connect xbox

WEP key is the security key you had set when you had set up the network. You need to access the wireless router page
1.Click start >Run>type cmd >hit enter
A black command prompt window comes up
2.Type Ipconfig and hit enter
3. Note down the Ip address next to default gateway that is usually 198.168.1.1
4. Open internet explorer , in the address bar type the default gatway (198.168.1.1)
5 Hit go
6. The belkin password screen would pop up,
7. enter the default user name and password
8. go to the wirless page and check the WEP key

If you donot know the default admin and password , its time to call belkin and they would let you know how to get into the router to check the WEP key
