SOURCE: my mo ped stutters at high speeds

This sounds like a fuel delivery issue. The GSR has a centrifugal clutch, so the sputtering is most likely coming from the engine. There are three main factors; Air intake, Fuel ratio/mixture/delivery, and spark. Check your air/fuel mixture screws first. Then check the Spark Plug, and finally the air filter/fuel filters.

The filters can clog, and starve the engine for air or fuel, depending on the filter. Try to clean the filter, replace the plugs, and adjust the carb. One of these is the verdict, but you must determine which one. Good luck. 4m41 2003 model starts and idle nicely but after probably 5minutes it starts to misbehave, cutting and high idling

There are a few possible reasons why your 4M41 2003 model might be cutting and idling high after 5 minutes. Clogged fuel filter: The fuel filter removes impurities from the fuel before it enters the engine. If the fuel filter is clogged, it will restrict the flow of fuel to the engine, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Bad spark plugs: Spark plugs are responsible for igniting the fuel in your engine. If the spark plugs are bad, they will not be able to ignite the fuel properly, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Low compression: Low compression can also cause a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Compression is the force that pushes the piston down in the cylinder, which is necessary for the engine to run properly. If the compression is low, it will be harder for the pistons to move, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Clogged injectors: Fuel injectors deliver fuel to the engine in a fine mist. If the injectors are clogged, they will not be able to deliver the fuel properly, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Mass air flow sensor: The mass air flow sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine. If the mass air flow sensor is faulty, it can provide the wrong information to the engine's computer, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Throttle body: The throttle body controls the amount of air that enters the engine. If the throttle body is dirty or malfunctioning, it can restrict the flow of air to the engine, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. If you are experiencing these symptoms, it is important to have your vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic to determine the root cause of the problem. Once the cause of the problem has been identified, the mechanic can recommend the necessary repairs. Here are some tips to help prevent these problems from happening in the future: Change your fuel filter according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Change your spark plugs according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Keep your engine clean and well-maintained. Avoid running your vehicle on low fuel. If you notice any problems with your vehicle's performance, have it checked out by a qualified mechanic as soon as possible.

Why does it have rough idle, black smoke, and high fuel consumption?

It's running extremely rich. Have the fuel pressure and fuel pump checked.

What can cause a Fast idle on 1999 Ford Escort?

Try cleaning the throttle body and check the gap on all the spark plugs also all electrical sensor plugs and battery terminals this could be related to engine temperature also if to hot rpms stay up longer to cool off but maybe your idle air control valve is bad when did it start?

How do I start my new 2000 dyna super glide....

In most cases, if you'll make sure the fuel petcock is on (this should be vacuum controlled if it is the orginal petcock), pull the enricher out, twist the throttle twice, turn on the switch, and push the start button. DO NOT OPEN THE THROTTLE UNTIL THE ENIGNE STARTS UP. Your carburetor is equipped with an ENRICHER. An enricher circuit works differently from a "choke". If you open the throttle even a little while starting the bike, you'll render the enricher ineffective. You must leave the throttle completely closed until the engine starts up. Usually the enricher is rich enough that the engine goes to a high idle once it starts. But, on the other hand, you don't want to run the enricher for an extended time as it will foul your spark plugs. Allow the engine to run until it warms enough so that you can keep the engine running with the throttle then turn it off.

Good Luck

Cuts out at medium to high throttle-runs decent @ slow speed-idle seems to high

It could be the spark plugs. Check the color of the spark. It should be blue not orange. If it's orange change the plugs.
