I think you need to know that the material goes under the presser foor, which you then bring down to start sewing. Look on you- tube

J C PENNEY 6915 SEWING MACHINE TENSION ASSEMBLY POPS OUT. CAN'T GET IT TO STAY IN PLACE.

Other than taking it into a sewing machine repair shop, I would buy some "packing tape", clear kind, and cut a piece of tape and put it over the plate so that it can't pop out.

How do I obtain a manual and a cord that plugs into the wall.

Good morning to you Gail
A manual for your Sunbeam sewing machine is available at https://www.manualsonline.com/ and/or try https://www.sewconsult.com/
then thre is the cord. You have a cord that connects to the machine then there is the other end to plug it in the wall to get electricity. The contact has to fit the socket https://www.sewing.about.com/
wish you the best of luck

Screen reads overload

De-energize the machine totally, wait 30 seconds and power it up again. See if the problem clears.

Probably the motor is pulling too much power. If you are not sewing something thick, the machine is binding inside and needs at least an oiling and maybe it needs to be taken in for service.

We can help you better if you tell us the make and model number of the machine.

Hi I took the bobbin casing out and now I can't work out how to put it back in and I can't find my manual. I have a Viking E10.Hope you can help thanks Gail

Hi, When you put the bobin back in it has to be strait up and down with that little arm. Push it in till it clicks in. Then your good to go.

Where could I find a sewing machine bobbin case in hermasillos m

Hi Mima,
Do you have any local fabric stores or quilt shops? They might have your bobbin case. Or, better yet, the Bernina dealer in Mexico is at: GCI MexicoBERNINA de Mexico
Plaza de las fuentes No. 6273-1
Fracc. Villas de Irapuato
36670 Irapuato, Guanajuato

Telephone +52 (462) 626 1522 Free call.- 01-800-999-000-9
Fax +52 (462) 623 1534
Email address info@berninamexico.com

I'm sure if you contact them, they'll be able to help. But, if this doesn't work, let me know, ok?

Happy Sewing!

Bobbin winding message

Under the top cover, on the right hand side where the bobbin winder is, there is a small switch which is activated when the bobbin is being wound. You will need to remove the cover and reposition the switch (it's located towards the front of the machine) to make it work properly.

We need a repair manual

Janome stopped supplying the Back Light for the MC8000 some years ago. An enterprising fellow in Sydney, Australia does have some that he had manufactured especially to replace the Janome version.
What region do you live ?
I can give you the contact details and you can see about international freight etc. if applicable
As far as the Service Manual, they are given to Janome Trained Technicians and you will find it very difficult to persuade one to let you have a copy, it is their livelihood afterall.
