Probably excessive vibration from your chain. I would replace chain and tensioner. use removable loctite on tensioner.

How to check and or replace the alternator on a 2008 fat bob

You have to pull the outer primary, clutch, primary chain, and foreward drive sprocket, then remove the inner primary. the alternator can then be removed. Takes a couple of specialty tools to get to that point.

Where is the oil drain plug on a 2008 harley fat bob

1) Drain plug for crank drain, is on the left side of the oil bag.
About a half a cup of oil, always stays at the bottom of the crankcase. (Dry sump. Keeps the crank from having to thrash a bunch of oil around )

2) Primary Cover is on the bottom, just under the derby cover. (Cover at back of Primary Cover )

3) ****** drain plug is on the same side as the fill plug.

Change the O-rings too. Help keep that baby from making 'spots'.

How do you open the gas cap for a harley fat bob 2008

Obviously it's not the stock gas cap. If it's a flush mount. You push it in then turn it to the left while it's pushed down. it will pop up, then you can unscrew it normally.

Grinding noise when transmission is in neutral

That noise may be coming from your primary, not the tranny. Try adjusting the clutch, and (of course) make sure you have the correct amount of chaincase fluid in your primary. If that doesnt do it Change the trans fluid and see if that helps
