Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Sony Vaio Vgn-bx61mn - how do I boot it up without using the power button? I disabled it by mistake and now can't turn it on. Thanks

Value of turning off is 0 and value of turning on is 1, which we can't disabled unless motherboard is damage or power cable have been unplug.
Try to find your product disassemble guide from the google search or youtube and plug your power cable. If motherboard is damage we need to think something else.

I have a partially disassembled Panasonic Pv-p1 vhsc adapter.

I have two Panasonic VHS-C adapters so I know what it is like to try to salvage a tape. Basically, you have two choices: complete disassembly of the adapter and salvage the tape or reassemble the adapter and try to salvage the tape. I have never seen any repair information so learned by trial and error

I have a Toshiba Satellite L305 and it would not turn on. After a day or two, I tried turning the computer again and it turned on with the following message: "CMOS Battery Failure," F1 to continue F2 to...

Hi There,

Here is a ste by step guide for disassembling the L355 which is almost identical to the L305. Your problem IS the cmos and not your motherboard. Toshiba does not make service manuals available so this site is the "go to" place for many laptop repair guys like myself for help.

If the procedure looks a little over the top for you, consult with a friend or contact who can do this confidently and well.

Best Regards

I need to change the power jack at the back of my medion mim2120. can anyone guide me through the process please and are the sockets available on ebay suitable, I've seen them as low as £3.50...

Yes you can get the adapters from eBay but make sure when you search for one you search by your laptop model to make sure you purchase the correct one.
Now i don't know what make or model your laptop is so guiding you through the process will be difficult but it's basically the same.
You will need to disassemble the laptop to get to the motherboard and remove it so you can start work, this can be difficult to do and many people end up with screws left over and don't know where they go, a good idea is to draw a life sized sketch (basically draw round the laptop twice on paper) to map out where you took certain screws from and where the major components go.
Once you have the motherboard out you can de-solder the old adapter and solder in the new one.
NOTE: there are delicate ribbon cables underneath the keyboard and possibly in other locations so take care when you are disassembling the laptop.
If you need anymore help post back.

Good luck.

Acer laptop loose clock time

yes it has a cmos battery, inside you would have to disassemble it to replace it.if you have never taken a laptop apart the i'd recommend a service can do a lot of damage if not familar with the disassembly and reassembly process.

Gameboy advance sp - water damage - won't charge!

Hi Suzy,
it,s not worth repairing.
the cost of a new motherboard and fitting will cost more than the Gameboy advance. i bet the three year old lads not the flavour of the month, with the 7 year old :)
have a look on e-bays the best, not everyone wants these anymore. you might find One on if your in England.
Hope this answers your question.
