Question about Samsung Washing Machines

Open Question

I have a front loading WF338 Samsung washer with the small panel on the bottom for draining and cleaning the debris filter. The drain hose has never drained when I went to clean filter leaving the water to run out when unscrewing the filter. It appears the short hose is ok, but where it connects to the assembly inside there is some type of blockage. How do I remove panels, etc so I can get to it. Would it be advisable to blow compressed air in the rubber hose to see if I could clear blockage? Is there a diagram/breakdown that shows what to remove and then what? any help appreciated. thx

SOURCE: LG WM2010CW filter drain no draining

In all likelihood the rubber drain hose is clogged. I had the same problem with my LG front loader. The hose was clogged with sand and dirt almost the entire length of the hose. The following solution is far simpler than taking the dryer apart to clear the drain hose. Besides I figure this same thing could keep reoccurring with all the sand and dirt we get in our clothes here in East Texas.

I purchased about 4 feet of 3/16 inch OD vinyl tubing and adapted it to fit on the end of a garden hose. The adapter gizmo included a valve so I could control the water flow and not give myself a bath. A picture of the gizmo is included below. Make sure that when you connect the water hose to the faucet that the faucet valve is just slightly opened and that the gizmo valve is closed. Using the gizmo is straight forward. First remove the drain filter and than insert the vinyl tubing in the end of the rubber drain hose and slowly open the valve on the gizmo. Make sure you have a large pan or bucket underneath the drain hose to catch the debris and water. Slowly advance the tubing up inside the hose until it won’t go any further. By this time water will also be running out of the drain filter cavity which will indicate the clog has been removed. Continue back flushing for a few more seconds to assure all the debris has been cleared, than clean up and you’re finished.

SOURCE: Duet Sport Whirlpool front loading washer is

First check your washer plug to see if the connections are tightly screwed. Next check your filter if you haven't for long.

Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you hv drained unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out

How abt a nice rating for the free help? Thnks

SOURCE: LG front load washer OE error. cleaned filter need

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

Why does it not drain?

It "should drain automatically. If yours does not, please make sure the washer is properly leveled both front to back and side to side, make sure the drain hose is not inserted too far into the drain pipe and that there are no bends or kinks in the drain hose that might cause a blockage. Samsung also recommends cleaning the debris filter on a regular basis (at least once per month). To avoid spillage when cleaning the debris filter, it's important to first empty the rubber drain tube located next to the debris filter into a container. For more information, please refer to the User Manual."

You will have to clean out the large black hose on the bottom of the tub. The only way to get to it is to remove the top cover from the washer then remove the front of the washer, after removing the front you will be able to reach in and remove the hose and clean out the rubber backing. You can try it from the back of the washer first and may have some success but from my experience you will have to go from the front maybe both. Good luck and have some towels ready to catch the water.

My washer will not drain?

Hi
If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a multimeter. If it still doesn't work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Please revert for any further assistance.
Hope this helps...

Drain wont drain on a epic washer where is the drain filter located at

The drain filter is located in the pump behind front bottom panel. Disconnect power and remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily. Once the panel is off, remove the filter by turning the knob counterclockwise. Clean the filter from any debris that prevents water from draining out properly.

My front loading washer is not draining. F02 code keeps coming up. I cleaned the drain hose wondering if there is anything else beyond the drain hose that I can clean.

Remove the bottom access panel. There you will find a pump filter that you can unscrew and remove debris. UNSCREW AND DRAIN SLOWLY as there will be lots of water to catch..

Washer will not drain or spin motor making clicking noise

Likely has debris in the filter.
Open the bottom access panel (3 screw on bottom front lip)
open the filter access and be ready for some water spill ,have towels.
clean and check the pump impellers for freedom of movement.
if you still have noise after this you may have to go deeper past the pump and remove the hoses as the debris can be past the pump now.
Or take the machine outside and run water up the pump using a water hose to clear it. be inventive
