On these relays NO means Normally open when power is not supplied on the control voltage side. Most A/C system control voltage is supplied by a transformer, which supplies the thermostat, which in turn supplies the power to the relay when cooling is called for. If you do have, say 24 Volts present at the relay the normally open contact should close giving power to the compressor for cooling. If the NO contact is not closing you relay coil may be open. In this case replace the relay.

My split ac`s compressor got overheated and stops working after 15 min but fan was running

this is because the compressor is thermoing out meaning it is getting to hot and the windings on the compressor are opening causing the compressor to go off, it is a safety for the compressor so it does not get ruined. have an ac company or someone who knows what they are doing come take a loo at it, it sound like bad start components to the compressor, also have then check the freon levels as well.

Hello,,there is a way to comfirm that but you will need a meter that reads microfarads, after discharging the capacitor with a insulated screwdriver you simply put you meter leads to each terminal on the capacitor with tje meter set to microfarads, if the capacitor is good it should read the same microfarad reading thats printed on the capacitor, if not replace the capacitor.

Please check outdoor unit. Compressor or fan motor getting high amps due to overheat. Clean condenser coil. If still problem, replace running capacitor. If out door fan less rpm replace fan capacitor. In some unit 2 in 1 capacitor is there. So replace one capacitor will rectify fan and compressor problem. Thanks. Helpful?

Outside fan doesn't run while compreesor is running and coils are hot

See if the fan is getting power if it is fan is bad if not check the connection to the thermal sensor on the compressor to See if it has come loose.

In car airconditioning system there is a filter with glass window where you can see if the gas is bubbling if so then your system have no sufficient freon gas.

Ducted gas hetaing keeps tripping the thermo fan switch. We seem to have plenty of air flow out of the vents and have replaced 75% of the ducting

It seems that you are saying the thermo fan stops first, thenfotre the safety limit switch shouts off the gas. This would mean the thermo fan motor is bad. It is overheating, which cuts out the thermo fan switch. The gas only shouts off because the thermo fan motor is bad.
