Question about Coleman Mach 15 Air Conditioner
I have a running fan, but no power to compressor,my thermo seems to be working corectely, and I need info on the relay in the box,as I,m gettig power to it, but it doesn't operate for power, and theother says NO??
On these relays NO means Normally open when power is not supplied on the control voltage side. Most A/C system control voltage is supplied by a transformer, which supplies the thermostat, which in turn supplies the power to the relay when cooling is called for. If you do have, say 24 Volts present at the relay the normally open contact should close giving power to the compressor for cooling. If the NO contact is not closing you relay coil may be open. In this case replace the relay.
