Have a Sceptre 32" TV that changes sources all by itself, how do I fix it?

Model Number?

It may have a setting to automatically switch to a new source. Check and see if that is off. Also, power down your other connected devices completely, as some will occasionally "ping" the TV to make it's still connected while in sleep/idle mode. The Nintendo Switch is especially bad at that.

Codes for sceptre tv remote control

The remote for this TV works on Sony Universal remote codes.
See this user manual.
http://www.sceptre.com/pub/Manuals/LEDTV/E325BV-HDH-0229.pdf

So if you want to use the remote for other devices then best to visit this Sony website and find the codes for the devices you need. Select the Brand from the list and the code pops out on the side. It is not clear what you want to use the remote for.

For most TVs in the market, you would use their DYNAMIC or VIVID mode for the best picture settings.

No power.

My 3 year Sceptre 27" died. Local TV tech said it was the power module. Charged $25 for the diagnosis and wanted $190 to fix it. Took it home, popped the screws and the module almost fell out. It's a simple plug'n'play!!! Found a new module on eBay for $65 shipping included.

Sceptre

It sound like either a power or power connectivity issue. I recommend that you first complete a hard reset on the tv (unplug all power to the unit and accessories for at least two hours, sometimes more. Then plug the unit and accessories back in. If that does not work then I recommend using one of our premium services or searching for a local repair service search button located on this page. Just type in your zip code.

Thanks,

CH

Sceptre monitor will not return from idle.

The only workaround was to not use the DVI cable but to use the old VGA cable. You still get the same resolution.
I have a different ATI board, so I'm thinking it's an ATI+Sceptre on DVI input bug. Anyway, use the VGA cable, it'll work.
