I'd say your not passing the post test....if you hear a beep when you start your pc it should boot to windows screen if you dont hear beep you could have a loose cpu fan open up pc and make sure the fan is secure if not try tightening it can be tricky either that or it could be your power supply i wouldnt attempt fixing that if not sure what your doing..or try turning off your pc plug it out disconnect all periphals and press in the on button and hold for 2 minutes then try and boot

My immediate 2426keeps rebooting but does not come on

Does it turn on for a few seconds and shut down? That sounds like a PSU failure. Try reseating the Memory mods, or remove 1 then the other, swap. Replace the CMOS battery. When you push the on/off button, it stays powered up? But does not boot? HDD spins? LED's blink?

HI THERE MY PACKARD BELL 2215 IMEDIA WILL NOT BOOT UP. iT WAS WORKING PERFECTLY THEN IT CRASHED NOW IT STARTS, FANS SOUND, BUT THEN IT SWITCHES OFF, ANYONE HELP? X

Sounds like an overheating problem. Clean the dust out of it, make sure it can get air on all sides, make sure the fans are turning. If that doesn't work, unplug the computer, hit the power button 20 times, wait 1/2 hour and boot it up.

Hi when i start up my packard bell imedia i get a red light on my tower my fan is spining and my monitor is on a amber light plz help

Assuming the monitor is fine you can try the following:
  1. Open the machine and reseat the video card; if video card is onboard try
  2. Unplug the machine and remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes; Its possible Windows didn't shut down properly and CMOS is preventing a normal startup; after replacing the battery, boot up (will probably start up in safe mode
If neither of these fixes the problem, you may have an issue with the monitor itself. Best of luck.

Packard bell pentium3 windows me

F1 is probably the key to enter the Bios setup utility. Press and hold the F1 key immediately after you start the machine. Go to the boot priority section, and set your CD-Rom as first boot device. Press f10 to save the settings and reboot with your recovery disk installed

Display problem

You don't have a display problem, you have a hard drive problem.
It is probably a file system corruption.
Insert the Windows XP install disk into your CD drive and boot to it. At the first setup screen, press R to repair windows from the recovery console. Once the recovery console loads, type
chkdsk /r and then press Enter. Once this finishes, remove the CD and reboot. With any luck, you will be able to boot successfully, if not, come back and give details about what happens.
