DID YOU CHECK ANY FUSES? THERE ARE OFTEN 1 OR 2 FUSES CONTROLLLING THINGS LIKE THE DASH, INSTRUMENT PANEL, A/C...ETC. CHECK FUSES FIRST AND IF YOU ARE BLOWING FUSES CHECK THE FUSE PANEL IN WHICH THE FUSES ARE LOCATED. NEXT CHECK THE WIRES TO MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE WIRES GROUNDING. MICE CAN OFTEN BE THE CULPRIT TO CUT OR CHEWED WIRES. (MECHANIC FOR 2 YEARS AND ALWAYS HAVE WORKED ON MY OWN VEHICLES) ALSO THE STARTING COULD BE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PROBLEM. HOW MANY MILES DOES YOUR VEHICLE HAVE ON IT?

I need to find out wher and how to fix the fuse on the front dash light

If you do not know where the fuse is, how do you know it needs "fixing"?
If your dash lights are not working, there is a possibility that there is a blown fuse. However, you need to realize that blown fuses do not cause electrical problems. Electrical problems cause blown fuses. So if you replace the fuse, it will likely just blow again if you do not fix the problem that caused it to blow.

On the other hand, there are several other things that could be keeping your dash lights from working that has absolutely nothing to do with the fuse.

With all that said, the fuse that protects your dash light circuits is a 7.5 Amp fuse that is located in the Instrument Panel Junction Block at the left side of the dash. It is marked "PANEL"

96 dodge ram 2500 tail lights and instrument panel lights quit working at the same time all other lights work help please!!!

Check your tail light fuse, on the dodge ram the dash lights and tail lights use the same fuse so if the tail light fuse blows your dash lights will go out to alert you of no tail lights.

Check 2 fuses. Instument lights / panel and also the brake light fuse. Sometimes the brake light fuse blows and you have no dash lights.

Diagram of fuse panel

if you need to find the fuse panel, it's on the drivers side under the steering wheel there is a panel that looks like it's part of the dash itself...on each end of the dash piece you will see a knob... turn counter clockwise to release.. then the dash panel will fold down... after you fold it down you can remove it by popping it off the guides.... the fuse panel is behind the dash panel.... some models of car have an illustration of what fuse goes where... if you look close on the fuse panel next to each fuse there's a number.. each number will match the illustration on the dash panel insert...
