Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I am unable to determine, from the meager instructions provided with my just-purchased Go Play speaker system, how to dock my iPod Touch (32 gb) to the speaker system. None of the eight supplied iPod Adaptors is clearly and unequivocally imprinted "iPod Touch." I am also puzzled by your manual's instructions (page 4) to "Turn the adjustable iPod knob ... to match your specific iPod model," as there appear to be no specific, labeled settings of any kind. I assume I can ignore the two "Pocket Adaptors" for Nano and Mini and hook up with one of the supplied "Docking Adaptors"? Please help; I feel like I've just failed an IQ test. Thank you, Leo Henzl: henzlleo@mac.com

Don't how to connect iphone to ear speaker

moz-screenshot-12.pngmoz-screenshot-13.pngmoz-screenshot-14.pngmoz-screenshot-15.png honestytessy.jpgHow to Connect an iPod to a Speaker Bar

A speaker bar is a (usually portable) speaker system that includes a dock for an iPod. The unit is usually bar-shaped, with either a rectangular or cylindrical cross-section. Connecting an iPod to a speaker bar is usually as simple as plugging it in. Many speaker bars will also charge the iPod while it is connected. However some do not have an iPod dock, in which case the iPod must be connected by a 3.5mm audio cable.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

* 3.5mm cable (for some speaker bars)

Turn the iPod on. Look to see if the speaker bar has a dock for the iPod. The dock will fit an iPod perfectly and will generally be located in the center of the speaker bar. There will be a connector that resembles the connector on the docking cable that came with the iPod. Place the iPod on the docking station and turn on the speaker bar. Such is the case with the "2.1 Channel Bar Speaker with Dock for iPod" or the "Yamaha YAS-71BL Front Surround Speaker System"

iPod headphones use a 3.5mm audio cable.

honestytessy_0.jpg

Connect the iPod via the 3.5mm cable. If the speaker bar does not have a docking station it will have a 3.5mm cable connector with a jack like the headphone jack on iPod ear pods. Plug the 3.5mm cable in the iPod headphone jack. Plug the other end in the iPod. Turn on the speaker bar. The procedure is straight forward and Apple specifically designed the headphone jack with third party stereos in mind.

Select a song on the iPod and play it. The speaker bar will play the music from the iPod.

Hope that helped..

have a nice day.

Try firmly pressing the iPod into the dock connector. If it works, good. If it doesn't, then your iPod may not have support for the speakers.

    Itouch charging

    Hi there,

Some speaker systems which are only compatible for charging the ipod nanos and classics do not work with the iPod Touch and the iPhone, the internals are slighly different from one another which will not allow that speaker system to charge your iTouch.

To play & Charge your touch, i suggest getting a speaker system that supports the iPod touch platform.

    Hope this helps ?!
