Although they fired me for wanting to come back to Phoenix, I developed a great service division from the Valley to Pasedina for Leslies Pools. Even if you live elsewhere they are a national company that started in the Valley and LA get the best attention of anywhere else. I hate them for shitcannin my *** but you can't go bad with them.

2011 Dodge Caliber, turns over, but won't start. Check engine & red lightening bolt lights are on. Changed plugs. Didn't help. Car has 75 on it, and gas tank is full. Any ideas?

Have the onboard computer checked and extract the code(s) that set the check engine light. There are a number of things that can cause your problem and the code(s) may help narrow it down. Possible items are the crankshaft sensor, the camshaft sensor, and the fuel pump, as well as the onboard computer itself.

98 F250 heat gauge in red, engine slows down, coolant level steady, rad cool. Had new head gaskets and head planed last Sept. new fan & water pump. What can be wrong?

I am a little confused here, you say the temperature gage is in the red but the engine is only at 140-160? Is that Fahrenheit?

Cvt light on indicating over heating. Stops car lets it cool down and then completes his trip. Dealer could not identify problem or diagnose the problem.

I do not know why your local Mitsubishi dealer cannot figure this one out. What you are describing is a known problem for which Mitsubishi has published a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB).

The problem is caused by incorrect transmission fluid levels and there is an updated dipstick included in the fix.

You may also want to talk to your son about heeding warnings from your vehicle's onboard computer system. When the CVT transmission begins to overheat, the CVT light will come on, a warning chime will sound, and the words "SLOW DOWN" will be displayed in the Muti-informational Display. This will occur LONG before the vehicle goes into "REDUCED POWER" mode. If he would slow down as he is being told to, the warnings will extinguish themselves as soon as the transmission fluid temperature drops to a safe level (which it will, if he slows down).

REDUCED POWER MODE is like an angry parent...."OK, you don't want to slow down like I told you to do, and you are going to destroy my transmission by ignoring my warnings, so I am shutting you down!!! You won't slow down, so I am slowing you down! Now, if you do not want this to continue, then you better start listening to me!"

Similar things will happen if you choose to ignore engine control or Brake/Traction Control warnings. The old days of ignoring warning lamps and running around with your dash lit up like a Christmas tree are over. There is a new sheriff in town called REDUCED POWER MODE.

My 2003 V-6 Suzuki will only start and run when the engine is cool. When hot, it starts for about 2 second then shuts off. Engine check light does not come on and it showed no codes when the computer was...

The ignition coils are the usual culprit, they fail when hot, sometimes the module itself is bad, you need an Ignition specialist here, don't Shotgun (Replace parts till it runs)

My 1996 Chevy K1500 is shifting hard from 1st to 2nd when it's hot and the Service Engine light came on. It goes out and problem goes away when it's cooled down. What's wrong?

your transmission is overheating change the fluid and filter, and also check your cooling lines for that, you also may want to check the cooler itself
