Question about Symphonic ST419E TV

Game mode issue, remote needed!!!!

I am having the same issue, yet, I can get to game mode. It still shows nothing & the A/V cables are hooked up in the front. I tried ch. 3 & still nothing, so, now I'm thinking that I have to have the remote because input/line is on it & I'm thinking that it has to be pressed for the blank screen to show for the game to work.

Could you verify this for me & also let me know where you got the remote for $5 bucks & the part# on the back of the remote. I appreciate it!!!

I had this problem on a symphonic 27 inch TV I just bought from a friend who no longer had a remote. What I did was bought a universal remote (a specific one that someone told me about) for 8 bucks at walmart and I was then able to switch to game mode with the Input select on the remote. The remote I bought that actually worked is this one: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Magnavox-PM435S-4-Device-Universal/dp/B00006686A/ref=acc_glance_ce_ai_-2_1_tit/002-3174824-8273629
Make sure you look at it before you buy it and make sure it has a button that specifically says "input" on it. I know that some of the universal remotes don't have an input select button or one that doesn't work. As long as you get a Philips-Magnavox that has that button, you should be ok. Much better solution that paying 30 bucks for a new remote specifically for the TV. Hope this helps.

Tv is stock on tv mode. How to change to game mode?

You need the remote to change to game mode. The original remote doesn't appear to be available. A substitute remote with the function is here: http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=DWT2405&uuid=12931247714820 . The Game button switches to and from game mode. Other universal remotes may work but a source or input button is needed. Then try various codes for either Durabrand or Funai TVs (Funai built the TV). The other issue is that the remote needs to have been programmed at least 6 months after the TV was released. The remotes that are programmed via a USB connection to a computer will definately be able to match the function.

I hope this helps.

13" Orion TV having display issues...

There may be a short in the video game system, which could have fried something in the input circuits. And of course, make sure you have your TV cable plugged in, and the TV set to cable position before determining that the TV has an actual problem. Unfortunately, some functions may only be on the remote of course.

Lost my remote

Sometimes you can change the input by just clicking the channel button up >>> after the highest tv channel it'll go to Input 1, Input 2, etc. That's worked on one of my tv's but not all of them so it might work for you, too. Next suggestion would be to buy yourself a couple of universal remotes & keep them in a junk drawer for when you need one! We've found this PRICELESS!!! (Buy a couple when they're on sale & store them for those days when the remote was devoured by that oh-so-sneaky sofa!)

Where did you find it? what site & can you give the part# of thee remote, so that I can do the same?

I had this problem on a symphonic 27 inch TV I just bought from a friend who no longer had a remote. The thing with the menu and buttons on the front of the TV doesn't actually change the TV to true game mode. I don't know what it acutally does, but it isn't really in game mode. When it is in true game mode you can't change the channels until you turn the "game mode" off.
