Does it just randomly shut off without warning?

If so, I used to have this problem.. its to with the processor overheating because of the power demand.

The 7720G is a very powerful laptop, so powerful that it can run most games without fail, but they can put a strain on the processor.

My point is, You may be blocking the ventalation system causing the heat to carry on around the machine. The best solution would be is to buy a seperate fan, Like:
http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&biw=780&bih=485&q=laptop+external+fan&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=2019103170749009722&ei=74PqTIP_NpDb4gbS-Yn5Ag&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCIQ8wIwAA

If this does not fix what I am assuming is your problem, contact Acer Customer Support

Hello sir i have pronble with my acer aspire 4520 when i swicth no the power button the green light on and goes off

If the green light goes on and off that can occur if the the wall outlet is bad you should first try another wall outlet if the problem still exist your power adopter/ charger may have a shortage so you can use another charger that you know is working but must be of the same kind to see if your computer will receive power and if your computer does not receive power then the power supply on your motherboard is bad but it can be replace or change the motherboard

Power supply flashes green and no lights on laptop

Remove battery pack, press and hold power button for 5 seconds, then put battery pack back in and restart pc. This should take care of it. A bad memory stick can cause problems like this as well.

Acer TravelMate Laptop, cord getting hot, not getting power

I would imagine the voltage regulator in the adapter brick it dying...it will fry your motherboard if it starts throwing off power spikes. laptops need good consistent power flow of the right voltage. Buy another adapter.

Power light goes out but power remains thru the m-board fan runs

you need to replace the power supply. The fan sound is the fan for the power supply and not the computer. for cheap parts or used goto headgap's. They know what you need and probably even help you replace it yourself.

Viao PCG-GRX650 won't shut down fully

DaveBaker,

Here are a couple of tips that I've collected that may address your problem.

Go to start>run>then type in "cmd" without the quotes. this will bring up the command prompt. next type in the following command: "shutdown -s" without the quotes again. This should tell your system to shutdown your computer entirely.

Next
Try doing this. Hold down "ctrl" and left click "shutdown". This skips some windows XP shutdown procedure and should do the trick.

And, finally

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=831431
You cannot log off, restart, or shut down your Windows XP-based computer This article talks about an issue with Norton 2003 incompatibility.

Would appreciate any feedback as to which of these worked for you.
Thanks much!
