It sounds like the scanner assembly is damaged, if its a Hewlett Packard printer we typically replace the scanner assembly as well as the formatter board. Depending on the model, (if you have a 1522 or a 2727 contact tech support 1800-334-5144, if within two years from the purchase date their is a service note issued.) Regardless of the make of the printer contact tech support as their is damage to the assembly.

When the key is in the ignition, It won't go back to the Run position from the start position causing a grinding sound to happen.

Sounds like a bad spring in the ignition cylinder or the ignition switch itself isn't returning the key and switch to the Run position as it should. Most any auto repair facility can check and replace the switch for you. Note that the ignition lock cylinder (where you put the key in and turn) is NOT the switch. The switch is connected by a linkage up to the lock cylinder. The cylinder moved the linkage and the linkage moves the switch.

It would not hurt to squirt some WD-40 or other spray lubricant in the lock cylinder to see if that resolves the problem. Don't use lithium grease though, only use a light lubricating oil spray, and don't go crazy with it. Just a couple of squirts.

Where is the idle screw on a 2000 R1

The following is for a 2001 model, may be the same on a 2000.
Follow your shift linkage from the foot shifter 'up' the linkage rod.
Where the linkage rod meets the shift shaft, right beside it you will find a gold colored Knob.
Thats the idle adjuster.
You will want to loosen the left Mid-fairing to allow you to get your hand behind it to reach the adjuster knob.
You dont have to remove it, just loosen the 1/4 turn screws holding it.
do not adjust the idle when the engines cold. Have it good and warmed up.
When your finished, retighten the 1/4 turn screws, and your finished.
Small adjustments, allowing the engine to 'catch-up' work best.
Good luck.

The carb. is a New Carter, single bbl. on a '76 jeep 258 cu.in. We converted the auto choke to manual. The manual is working good. When the jeep sits for a couple of days , I have to use starting fluid to...

On a carbureted car you need to pump the gas pedal a few times before starting it when it's cold. Before attempting to start, pump it four times. If it starts, next time try three, then two. Once you find what the engine likes, stay with that. if it still won't start, with the engine off, look into the carb and watch for a squirt of fuel when you move the throttle linkage, if there is none the accelerator pump isn't working.

SCANNER BULB IS ALWAYS WARMING UP

Hello,

The "scanner warming up" error is caused by dirty optics in the scanner assembly. You will need to dis-assemble the scanner and clean the mirrors with window cleaner and lint free towels and Q-tips. We have a stap by step walk thru article on our web site at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/hp-laserjet-3330-scanner-warming-up-error/ The repair should take about 30-45 minutes to perform. The repair will require you to dis-assemble the scanner unit so be prepared to do a little work but when finished your printer will work just like new.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Hp psc 2110 copy problem stuck warming up & scanner bar get stuck

The scanner carret belt might be too loose, so the printer cannot pass through the self-test. Try tightening it a little bit. Also you have to either repair the nobs or solder it.
