Acer aspire one shows no power light when charger is plugged in...charger shows 6 volts

Hello, I'll do my best to help you out.
The Acer One have one weird problem, and that is of the mother board. "Naaahh, how can that be?" you may ask. The BIOS in the motherboard have a bug, in which in a certain amount of time it will shut down the Netbook and it will give you the impression that it's dead. But it isn't. As you posted it here, the power supply is working fine. I'm not sure if it's still available, but there is a patch, which it will allow you to flash and fix the Netbook. Now, I'm not able to share the patch with you just because there is no detIl on your Netbook, for example, I own an Acer One ZG5. If yours happen to be the same exact model, let me know and I'll do everything I can to share the patch with you and how to flash it.

When i turn on my dell 110 mini the light goes from white to orange and stays there the screen doeset boot or anything

Remove battery, open the access panel on the bottom carefully remove the ram sticks. Put them safely on a piece of paper so that a static charge doesn't ruin them, also touch something metal before you try and remove. If your computer doesn't beep at all when you power it back on your CPU, GPU, or MB are bad. If it beeps then there is still hope.

Your battery is dying from heat. Most likely because you leave it plugged in for too long. I suggest buying a new OEM (not china knockoff) adapter, and replace the cells in the battery or just buy a new batter.

Acer aspire one D150-1Bw battery not charging

the battery is gone dude. This year manufactures have reduced the quality of batteries drastically to cut down the costs and i think u got even the worst of them.

and whats more they they dont even give warranty on batteries for more than 6 months.

so U'll have to get new one. Sorry

My aspire one d-250 battery doent charge

My problem was: Although the Batt Light shows the "charging" the desktop indicators show the battery is at 100%. If you dscinnect the power supply the computer dies.

SOLUTION: I found this worked on both occasion it happened to me occasions.
1. Shut down the netbook.
2. Remove battery for +- 15 min.
3. Replace battery.
4. Do not switch on netbook, ie boot up, until charge light goes to green ie indicates fully charged.

Hi when i plug in my aspire one notebook it says battery fully charged but when i unplug it goes off. the battery light is orange when plugged in can u help please

Hello elaineedd6,
There may be some settings that can allow a fully charged battery to display a green light whether or not the computer is plugged in. It might be useful to look at the power options:
•Right-Click the battery icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
•Click on 'power Options'.
•Click an option on the left side of the power options window.

It's ok to change and select different settings to find out which ones work for you.

If this solution is helpful please click 'YES' by 'Was this helpful?' below.

Have a great day,
