Trying to connect a lexmark 3500 4500 to an acer1352lc cannot retreive icon which appeared at bottom right of screen

Disconnect printer. Uninstall
reinstall as normal . this should help. no problems normally.
Lexmark also has all drivers

A "No communication" dialog appears when you try to print or scan.
What to do
If you are printing wirelessly, launch the printer's Wireless Setup Utility and follow the instructions.
If you are connected by USB or ethernet, try one or more of the following:

  • - Ensure the cable is secure at both ends.

  • - Disconnect the printer power suppy from the wall outlet, wait 10 seconds, and then reconnect it.

  • - Restart the computer.

  • - Make sure the correct port is selected in the Properties screen. To do this:




      1. Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel.

      2. Double-click on the Printers folder.

      3. Right-click on the printer icon and select Properties.

      4. In the Properties screen, click the Port tab.

      5. Ensure that the printer port is set to one of the USB port options; see below.

      6. Select the port and click OK.

      7. You may need to reboot the PC for the change to take effect.

NOTE: The printer icon may not be displaying in the notification area (the "systray"). Once the port is correctly selected, the icon should appear there.

The printer turns on and I have everything


Sounds like you need a driver downloaded or re-install your soft ware. Make sure ink cartridges are installed properly.

Device is busy error


Check on the bottom right of the screen you will see a small printer icon.

Double click on the icon. That will open up the Print Queue.
Look at the print jobs. If one job shows as Spooling, click on the job and then delete it.

Where can I get a user manual. Didn' get one in the box when I bought it?

This is a pdf file. After you click on ->
User Guide, you may not see anything happening right away. Give it 20 seconds or so.

I downloaded it just now. Took 3 seconds, and the first page came up. It took another 12 seconds to fully download. I suggest, you let it download All the way, before looking through it.
I have a medium speed DSL connection.

You can save this file to your computer. This way, you can print it off, or burn it off to a CD disk.

After, (AFTER), the PDF file has fully downloaded, go up to the top header. Look at the icons.
Click on the Floppy disk icon.
It's the second one from the left.
Hovering your mouse cursor on it, will briefly reveal -> Click to save this file to your computer or another source <-

After you have clicked on it, a -> Save a Copy...<- window will come up.
In this window at the bottom, you will see -> File name: <-
In the box to the right of File name, is
-> v7649663_en.pdf <- highlighted in blue.

Unless you want to go around looking for v7649663_en.pdf, I suggest you do this.

1.Put your mouse cursor in the File name box. Put it right after the -> f <- in v7649663_en.pdf

Click the left mouse button once. Make one space with the space bar. Type -> Lexmark User Manual

It will be a lot easier to find.
Now go below to the right, and click on -> Save.
Unless you have your downloads set to save to your My Documents folder, this will go to your desktop screen.

put your pointer on the taskbar and right click, there is a toolbars option, see if lexmark is listed in the toolbars, check it and hopefully you get what you want

Lexmark z600 will not print documant


Sounds like the install was corrupt.. Try uninstalling and re-installing your software. Make sure your drivers are up to date also. You can download them from the lexmark website.

Epson stylus C66 doesn't print


Have you tried a cleaning cycle? If not, try one (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select head clean). Now run a nozzle check (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select nozzle check). Is there any sign of ink on the paper. Try up to three
cleaning cycles. If ink is now flowing, but not yet perfectly, don't carry out any more cleaning cycles. Just leave the printer for 24 hours (to allow any air in the print head to disperse). Then repeat the cleaning cycle/wait process. It may take a while to restore a perfect nozzle check print. If these actions produce no positive results, report back.

HELP SCANNING OR FINDING A SELECTION TO SCAN


There should be an icon in the system tray (bottom right corner of your screen). It is white with different color blocks on it. If you hold your mouse pointer over it it says something like "Lexmark Imaging Studio". Right click on it and choose "Lexmark 1200 Series All-In-One Center". This will start the scanning application.
