Hi there,

Well first of all you can please tell us the model number of your camera or tall us that this camera have internal memory or a memory card?
If the picture store in the internal memory of the camera then you need a data cable to connect them with computer. Or if the pictures stored in the external (memory card) then you can use the data cable or a card reader to connect them to computer.
(you need a driver cd to install the driver to computer if you are using data cable).

If somehow you deleted the stored picture from the memory then you need a data recovery software to retrieve the pictures, please follow the link below to get the software -

Please post comments for further refinance........

Good Luck!!

Thanks

How do I get pics of off camera when it has no sim card in it

The camera came with a CD. On it is the software you need to retrieve the pictures. But I don't think there are any on the camera, if you did not insert a memory card.
Perhaps one or two, but certainly not tons.
Before you use the USB cable (came with the camera too) to connect the camera to the computer, you have to install the software from the disk on your computer. After installing the software you can connect the camera and the computer will recognise the camera. First time give it a minute or so, because the computer needs to install and start a program.

I can't install easy share to retrieve some pictures

Do you really need the Kodak software?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

CAMERA GOES BLACK WHEN PLUG INTO COMPUTER WITH USB CORD...NO PROMPTS ON WHAT TO DO NEXT

The support page for this camera has a number of useful files to download.
One of these files is the user manual, that explains how to put the camera into PC mode and how to retrieve the photos off of the camera starting on page 76.

Another file of interest is a firmware update that available for this model of camera.
Finally, apparently the camera came with ArcSoft software that needs to be installed on your computer to help with retrieving the pictures from the camera.

Format and retrieval

Hello there Danika,

You can install a utility software to recover the pictures from a formatted memory card. Just install the link below, its free and effective:

http://www.piriform.com/recuva/download

Then hookup your camera to your computer. The system will recognize the device. Then run Recuva software and choose to recover the drive letter for your camera. It has an easy step by step process and you can even restore the pictures to your computer or back to the camera's memory card as well.

If you need further assistance, please let me know.

I cannot retrieve pictures from my camera. When I plug it in to my USB port, my computer is not recognizing it. I have a Canon Powershot S30, my operating system is Windows XP.

Most Compact cameras come with a software disk that has the photo software pre-loaded. My experience is that once you have loaded the software and uploaded your pictures, you can then convert the file to XP, or better still, to Photoshop.

Hope this helps
