I Reset All Settings and now my phone is stuck on the apple and the little progress circle on the bottom. iTunes won't recognize it and the computer doesn't even notice when it's plugged in. I can't do anything with it. I've tried resetting it several times holding down the power and the Home button for about 10 sec., then 20 sec. and longer... when it comes back up it's the same problem. FYI - it was jailbroken before the Reset all settings, if that helps

Since it's been jail-broken, I am afraid even the Apple's Iphone Service Center will accept it for Flashing. But you can try. The only solution is to visit a service center and get it updated with a new updates. There's no other way to get it fixed. This is O.S problem, no not any other issue. Possibly during the Reset, the o.s. database was failed to initialized or failed to start-up.

But before you leave for the service center, you can try this trick, Remove the battery, sim card, etc.. leave it off for few minutes like 30 mins and again install the battery (not others), connect it to the pc before you power it On. Now try power it on and check if it's detected by the computer or not, if so update the itunes. In case this doesn't work, I have no more solutions for you from my side.

I wish you all the best.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Hello,

Remove the battery and insert back after few minutes, see what happens, if it is same problem, try this, press and hold the power and menu button simultaneously at least for 20 secs, then release when the iphone turns off and restarts automatically, this should fix the problem.

Take care.

My apple ihone is disabled connectto itunes

There are many reasons why iTunes will not recognize your iPhone, whether it's dust or dirt blocking your dock connector or a system setting gone wrong. No matter what model iPhone you have, here are a few suggestions for helping the problem of iTunes not recognizing iPhone:

1. Generally speaking, when iTunes does not recognize iPhone, it may have something to do with the version of iTunes. If you are using an old version of iTunes on your computer, it may not be capable of recognizing your iOS devices. So updating iTunes to the latest version is a fastest way to get the problem solved.

2. If you are running iTunes in the latest version, but still can't get your iPhone recognized, you may want to take a look at your computer, sometimes if your computer lacks necessary software, it might lead to the malfunction of iTunes.

3. USB port on your computer can be another reason why iPhone not recognized by iTunes. So you can try more than one USB port to see whether the USB port works well.

4. Of course, your iPhone may also be the cause of iTunes not recognizing iPhone. At this moment, you can restart your iPhone by holding the Sleep/Wake button and Home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then connect iPhone to computer with USB cable again.

5. You should also make sure your iPhone trusts your computer, because after changing a new system on computer, your iPhone will regard it as a new computer. What's more, you should check out whether Apple Mobile Device Support is installed on computer.

6. After checking out all the aspects mentioned above, you can try to connect iPhone to computer with the USB cable again.

If none of these methods work out, you may want to try set your iPhone up as new after iTunes not recognizing iPhone. You only need to tap General > Settings > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings, and then choose Set Up as New. When you have set iPhone up as a new device, you are able to connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. But before erasing all contents on your iPhone, you may want to back up iPhone files to computer to keep them safe.

My iphone is stuck on slide to make emergency call and the connect to itune logo is displayed on it. i cannot connect it to itunes can you please give a solution to this problem?

You can try holding the button on the top of the iPhone and the button on the front of the iPhone at the bottom, at the same time, for about 30-40 seconds. An apple logo will appear, this just reset it, may work, probably not.

It's stuck in recover mode right now and you need to plug it into iTunes, try taking it to an Apple Store or your Carriers store (AT&T/Rogers/Telus/Verizon). They may be able to restore it through iTunes for you.

If not recognized by iTunes, try holding both buttons at the same time while plugged in for about 30-45 seconds.

To reset your iPhone settings,

picexporterror From the home screen, Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Still having problems?
Try deleting all the existing settings.

Note: The step given below will delete all the data on your iPhone. It will also give a reset to your settings.
From the home screen, Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents and Settings.

Or:

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

  1. Press and hold the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for 10 seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Let me know if this helps or not, there are other resets available :

My apple iphone USB Device Not Recognize what will

Go to www.itunes.com and download and install itunes, then reconnect the phone. If you already have itunes do this, but realize this will clear the info from your iphone, but if you have the info in itunes, it will sync back anyway. So just know, this does a factory reset:

Turn iphone off by holding power button on top left and sliding the red bar to shutdown.

Now, take the usb cable and have it not connected to the computer, but connect it to your iphone, so now you have the usb cable just connected to the iphone which is completely off.

Now, hold down the circle button on the iphone, and keep it held down. Then insert the usb cable into the computer, while still holding the button down. After a minute or two, you will get a screen on the iphone with a white usb wire pictured on the screen, and if you did it right, the connection should then pop up on windows. After you do the restore, you can then use itunes and plug in the usb like normal, all should be fine.

good luck!

IPhone stuck on Startup logo

Reset the iPhone by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home button at the bottom center of the face at the same time. Hold them both until you see the screen go black and the white Apple logo appear. When this happens, you can let go - the iPhone is rebooting.

Resetting the iPhone should not remove or delete any data or settings.

New iPod Nano 4G won't connect to iTunes.

Hi Paige,

  • First reset the device by pressing and holding Menu & Select till the apple symbol appears
  • Next check the USB port on both the PC and ipod are clear of dust etc.
  • Download and install the latest iTunes from the Apple site.
  • Connect the ipod to a USB port directly on the back of your PC (ie, not a USB hub or keyboard etc.)
  • If iTunes recognises it (properly or improperly) and suggests an ipod software update, do this.
  • On the main ipod page of iTunes press the restore button and choose the bottom option (if it gives you any) to restore the ipod to manufacturers settings.
  • After a couple of restarts once its done it should be fine.
All the best

My Ipod is frozen

OK what you need to do is reset it. To do this you will need to hold down the menu and select buttons simultaneously for approx 6 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen. This should reset and un freeze your ipod.

Try this and let me know how you get on.

First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top or bottom and slides back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. Once it is to the left, here's how you reset:

You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will shut off, then back on.
