Hi Bsan, I experienced the same problem with a 3H-10H/C as others. Can you clarify what you mean by the plastic clip? Thanks.

The same part works for both Hot & Cold sides. Usually preset to work on Hot (counter clockwise on, clockwise off). To set for Cold, simple remove the plastic clip from the top, slide the ring tab off, flip it over and put back on (you can only put it on one way since there's a flat "key" in it matching the stem) Now its set for Cold (CCW of, CW on). I wish Danco had noted these instructions in their product. Was frustrating for us non-plumbers. Thanks a lot for the instructions as it helped immensely!

Thanks guys, I live an hour from the nearest Lowes or HD, and not being an efficianado of the monkey wrench was becoming mildly agitated with the situation. This worked, thanks for sharing the solution.

Thank you. James was right. Danco, Parts Master Pro (Mueller Industries Co. - PP-6CD-NL ) do not have instructions on this. Glad I was able to see this solution. Just removing the clip (metal on my part) and flipping the cam resolved it! THANKS

The new fixtures have a metal clip on top. To solve this problem, pull off the metat piece on the top, and reposition it 45% from where it was. Put the clip back on. This was not obvious but the 3H-10H/C Danco price pfister comes set for hot only and you need to reset the stem this way to use it on the cold side

David, Danco appears to have made a change to this replacement part, which I think is the source of your confusion.

I just bought this Danco replacement stem and found no plastic clip.

On the original, worn-out stem, there is a plastic clip/key at the top (just under the grooved piece where the handle screws on)

The replacement stem has a partial metal disc (it looks like 75% of a washer) at that spot. It serves the same purpose, which is to prevent piece beneath it from riding upward.

You'll notice this silver piece has two notches on the interior. With either a pen point or something similar (I used the metal point on a drawing compass), slide this off. Then follow the directions bsan listed above.

NOTE: I had difficulty getting the silver key/washer back in place, so I simply used the plastic clip from the original piece instead.

Water pouring out of cold water connection the hookup is only connected to the hot water because the steam hookup is suppose work for hot water.... So they say??????!!! Is there suppose to be another hose...

YES YOU NEED TO EITHER PURCHASE A SCREW ON PLUG FOR THE COLD SIDE OR HOOK UP A HOSE FROM A COLD WATER VALVE TO THE COLD SIDE OF YOUR INLET WATER VALVE ON THE WASHER (YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A HOSE WHEN YOU BOUGHT IT, IF NOT YOU CAN PURCHASE ONE AT YOUR LOCAL HARDWARE STORE OR APPLIANCE PARTS STORE , OR SEARS PARTS DIRECT. LET ME KNOW IF THIS WAS HELPFUL!

I bought a Danco 3H-10H/C, Hot/Cold stem. The problem is, it seems to be setup for hot (clockwise closes the valve, counter clockwise closes it). Is it reversable? Or is it not really a hot/cold...

One of two things has happened. I'm assuming you only get hot water when you open the valve and that this is for a single handle control shower fixture. If so either this is the wrong valve for your shower control or it is installed backwards. Sometimes the valve can be installed at either 180 degree angles. See if it can be installed any other way. If so this may solve the problem.

i bought a new hot water heater but all i am getting is cold water out of hot water side

You should have bought the other model that heats cold water........sorry....inside joke.....

Honestly now, I'm guessing it is electric, so are all the electrical connections properly affixed and the circuit breakers switched back on with power to the elements.

I hoping for your sake that you didn't power the unit before it was completely full of water, and also purging the trapped air from the top of the tank. because that would ultimately "burn out" the elements......voiding the warranty & costing you more money to replace them.

If not, maybe you should check and/or adjust the thermostat settings

Indesit DIF04 integrated dishwasher

Dishwashers normally are hot or cold feed.
My wife runs water at the sink to get it hot going in before turning on the dishwasher.
You can use either cold or hot water.
We have ours hooked up to the hot water side.
They work better hooked up to the hot water.
