No voicemail alert on display

When I first recieved my new phone, there was a constant voicemail alert on the display screen (even though there were not any messages). I took it to the phone store and they reset something, now i don't get a voicemail alert when there IS voicemail. I do get missed call alerts, but not voicemail alerts, so I just have to keep checking randomly...driving me crazy!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do I check voicemail

VoiceMail is not a function or feature of the VTech cordless
phones.

VoiceMail is an option offered by some (not all) telephone
service providers, and each of those who do offer the feature
employ specific procedures unique to themselves.

Check with your Telephone Service Provider to see if you
have or can get a VoiceMail service activated and how to
go about using it.

Per the CS6114 User Manual, the display indication
"New Voicemail" will be removed from the cordless phone
handset when you have accessed the providers' VoiceMail
system and played/cleared the messages.

If the alert display persists, it can be cleared from the handset
by the following (tested on my own cs6114 phone):

press [menu]
scroll to "Settings"
press [select]
scroll to "Clr voicemail"
press [select]
display reads "Reset VM Icon?"
press [select]
phone will (chirp) press [off ] [off ]

Good luck!

VOICEMAIL iCON ALWAYS DISPLAYED

Your provider can remove the voicemail icon on you screen but you have to contact them of course. Sometimes what happens is the voicemail is exited improperly and what you'll need to do it get back into your voicemail and follow the prompts to exit the system (I believe it is the star button to exit voicemail). What I would do is leave yourself a message, call into your voicemail, delete the message and exit the system. If icon is still on the screen then you have no choice but to contact provider. Good luck and hope this helped.

Can't get flashing red light to shut off for voicemail alert, even though there are no messages

That depends on your service provider. If they give you Voicemail then you should be able to shut it. If they dont then it wont shut off.

N95

I had a similar problem recently.Where messages would recieve, but no alert, no vibrate, no notice of "1 new message received". Even restarting the phone wouldn't solve this. I eventually managed to resolve this by freeing up some space from the phone (old messages, photos, etc) and restarting. I haven't had a problem since.
Hope this helps you, and please rate this solution, thanks :)

Change SMS Alert on Motorola W375

It took me a while to find this.

Settings / Ring Style / scroll down to Detail & press the left soft-key to CHANGE. In this menu you can adjust default ring volume, and select different sounds for calls, texts, voicemail, alarms and also adjust key volume.

If you are clever enough to make your own mp3 ringtones (they need to be tiny files to fit on this phone's tiny 500kb memory) you can even select these as your call or text alert.
