Hi im sachin want to purchase 1 tb hard disk of cgate and LCD of ither samsung or sony.... 1. will support an external USB hard drive on this lcd's ? 2.is there any other type of hard disk i need to...

I do not know if the 1 Tb external hard will work on the USB ports on the LCD TVs.
What do you want to store on the 1 Tb USB hard drive and display on the LCD TVs?
Most LCD TVs can access USB memory sticks and display DVI movies (if supported by the TV), photos etc. that are stored on these USB memory sticks.
Try inserting an USB hard drive (borrow one if necessary, can be any capacity) into the USB port to see if it works before you decide to purchase a 1 Tb USB hard drive.
My suggestion would be to purchase a 1 Tb USB memory stick. This would out perform an external USB hard drive.

I cannot access my 1.1 memory stick as I did befoe I reloaded an ole DELL MMX200 with Windows 98. I can use the ports for a scanner as I did before so I know the ports work

if you are using usb ports, some devices need a highspeed 2.0 usb port to work properly.
a pci card with usb 2.O can be added for about
$10

Card reader not working

Try putting your memory stick on a usb port on the back of the cpu. It may work. Usb ports on the front of the cpu and card reader may not work with all memory sticks

Hi there I just brought a mikomi gp-311a 4 port usb hub for my aspire 5315 laptop (1gb). After root hub installed sucessfully,i added my other usb devices into the hub and it is not regonising any of my...

The problem is that some usb hub devices are not powered enough to recognise peripherals, i always recommend buying a mains powered usb hub as the pc's supply can find it difficult to power the usb ports enough as well as powering other components in your pc.

Tried to password protect my Freecom 8GB memory stick. After the process which took about half an hour, the stick could not be accesses, but could by formatting. I did this and now the stick is only 8MB....

I'm not sure what you have done but.

Right click my computer
select manage

on the left side of the computer management window
see disk management

now on the right side where the disk management is open
find the usb drive from the list of drives, right click on all paritions of the usb drive and select delete partition, ones all parititons are deleted right click in the empty space and create a new partition.
it should work as normally, normal size.

Usb ports not picking up memory stick

Is it just Memory Stick, or everything that you plug into USB?
Try following:
  1. plug in other USB device into ports
  2. if it does not detect any USB device on any port on your computer
  3. if both front and back USB do not work it may be taht USB is turned off in BIOS, or USB driver is corupted
  4. If you have front USBs and they just do not work there is wire connecting them to the motherboard since it may be loose, if connection is OK than they are dead.
  5. If just back USB do not work than they are dead>
