Question about Neff Microwave Ovens

Open Question

I have a Neff ceramic hob model T1722NO. It keeps switching off at anytime during use sometimes 2 seconds sometimes its ok. All the elements work ok, so its not one particular element when it switches off. It will not start again unless i switch it off from the wall switch or if i run my finger across all the controls. I have never had this or any other problem with the hob. Its about 15 years old. Many Thanks.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Neff b6774 turn microwave on but in switches off asfter 2 seconds heard it could be the fuse. how dfo i change it

You could have it checked by a professional technician, (the fuses are INSIDE the microwave), if you have electronic skills you can check them yourself but you need to open the oven to reach the fuses !!!REMEMBER TO ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CABLE!!! before any attempt to open the oven, (to avoid all risk of electrocution) than look for ceramic german type fuses and check them with a multi-meeter, it could be a defective SAFETY SWITCH in the door latch as well... there are usually 3 switches or more, again you can verify the switches with a multi-meeter...

Good luck!

If the ceramic bush, that is a good insulator of electricity, is arcing. Maybe it needs cleaning.

I have a cata ceramic hob. the child lock has been engaged & is restricting operation of any of the 4 hob's

When you turn on the hobs main power, press the the rear left hand element pad at the same time and the lock will come off.

press the centre minus button and the bottom right plus button at the same time it will work if not keep trying
You have to hold down the centre sensor button with the minus on and the sensor which turns on the bottom right ring immediatley after turning the hob on. It should unlock, then press the minus again
the hob switchs off
when you now switch on there will be no lock

Replace light bulb on the Neff H7871 combined oven and microwave.

The bulb is positioned at the top of the oven, accessible only from the outside. You'll need to pull off the top and bottom trim strips, remove the bottom trim strip locators, remove 2 fixing screws from the left edge of the oven (with door open), and the 2 fixing screws from behind the top trim strip. The oven should then just slide out. You only need to pull it out 6 inches or so to gain access to the bulb cover. You'll need a T20 driver to remove the cover, then the bulb unscrews as it has an SES fitting. Bob

Neff microwave h7871 arcing

This antenna is called the stirrer here in the US. Its purpose is to stir the microwaves to ensure even cooking.

The cover is usually made of plastic, as opposed to ceramic, and it keeps grease and food particles off the stirrer to protect it from arcing, which can damage the surfaces and the magnetron.

The stirrer, stirrer cover and the area around it should be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia cleaner.

If the cavity metal of the oven is chipped or charred, it will have to be sanded smooth and clean and dried thoroughly.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available in appliance parts stores and hardware stores.

Also, the stirrer will arc if it is not turning when the oven is cooking. That may mean a bad stirrer motor.

If your waveguide cover is burned, it will need to be replaced. It provides important protection for the magnetron and stirrer.

You can download Neff manuals here.

Even if you don't find your exact model, they should all have contact info for Neff in case you need to call them to get spares / parts.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Neff microwave combination oven

no solution sorry but we also have a Neff mw/combi oven which keeps blowing for no apparent reason, the Neff repair man has looked at it 4 times and practically replaced every component -power module, operating module, relay board, door switches but it`s just gone again! The model is a H5972N0GB/01 and it is approx 3 yrs old, no problem for the first 2 years .Time to write to Neff -is yours the same model?
