Question about Cameras

2 Answers

I have been using picture motion browser to download and edit photos from my Nikon 2000. I have already downloaded a batch of photos and deleted some that I now want to recover. The pictures are still in my camera but when I plug the camera into the USB port I get a message that there are no files on the camera (which there are). Is there a way to fool PMB or the Nikon so that I can download them again.

Based on my knowledge, your problem could be resolve in these three ways:
1). Try to unhide these photos.
According to your description, your files may be hidden anyway. Try to show them all up again:
Start => Run => Type in "control folders" and press "OK" =>Click "View" and hook "Show hidden files and folders"=> Press "OK"
2). Scan your camera with antivirus tool.
Sometimes, the virus also would hide the files make them invisible for you. So, just try to do antivirus scan on your camera. (You should take care not to delete some needed files in the process.)
3). Restore your files back by using a camera data recovery freeware.
This problem also could be caused by the camera memory card problems. So, if you want to save these files, you'd better try to use a camera data recovery freeware that always could help retrieve the inaccessible files back for free:

DO NOT PANIC. The data is still there on the memory card or stick of your camera as long as you haven't taken any more photos since then.

They can be recovered using photo recovery software, there are lots of them available with different benefits and features. I recommend you have a try of Wondershare Photo Recovery, a software which can also recover lost video and music files. Get the program from the links below.

Photo Recovery Download (if you are running Windows OS)
Mac Photo Recovery Download (for Apple Mac OS X)

Download and install the trial version on your computer, then connect your camera memory card ans start to recover.

Tips:
1. Take the free trial version first.
2. Before your deleted items are recovered, do not save more files to the card.

I hope you good luck, Happy the Holiday!

Date stamp on sony DSC H3 camera - How

This Camera doesn't have the feature to superimpose the date on the pictures. By using the supplied Picture Motion Browser Software, you can print or save the pictures with date.

Sounds like you're switching the same card between cameras. Rule #1...one card per camera. Format the card in the camera it is to be used in. There is no Rule #2.

There's a couple things to try so dont panic... yet.
first I need to know if you used the software everytime you connected your camera to the computer or did you save them on the computer and then use the software to organize them. From the sounds of it. You used the software from the getgo.
Did you ever format your memory card since the downloads or did you just delete the photos?
Let me know about those and I will try to duplicate the situation on my computer to see where to go from here.

Let me know,
Caleb
