Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

Lock the motor shaft behind the fly wheel on the end opposite the impeller then turn the impeller off counter-clockwise.

Why is the motor roaring ? is it rubing on housing or a bearing ?

It may not be you motor, but the sound of some item caught in the impellar, which is the part that causes suction. It is usually located in the upper housing, and can be accessed fairly easily. Unscrew any visible screws,(usually phillips type) and carefully lift housing off. This should expose the impellar. If debris is present, remove it.
But also check for possibly broken fins on the impellar itself. Sometimes items like coins, or nails etc, will get picked up accidentally, then spin around in the impellar housing, only to break a fin or two trying to move on. If this has happened, replace the impellar.

Error code F 35

F35 is a slow drain error check for kinks or cloggs in the drain line. Also check that the pump is not clogged and while checking the pump check the impellar on the pump that no impellar blades are missing as well. broken fins on the impellar or if the impellar is not spining would give you the same fault pump error if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations in the future Thanks Rick

How do you get the impellar off?

First, separate wet end of pump from motor. If not already off, take diffuser off. Remove back cover of motor and hold center shaft with either a wrench on the flats of the shaft or a large screwdriver on the end of the shaft.(It all depends on which motor you have.) Then just unscrew impeller. (Some larger hp motors have a reverse threaded screw holding impeller also.) You may need a large pair of pliers but be careful not to score the impeller.

Jandy jhp .75 hums when you turn it on does not pump

It sounds as if motor is spinning and pump is free so the impellar must not be attached to the motor shaft. There is a set screw on the impellar to hold it to shaft or the pump impellar could be cracked. Only way to tell is take the impellar housing off.

what kind of motor or pump? Hayward, pac flo?
