Hiya. I have a very old singer, with the number F2590752. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to find a manual please? Many thanks.

It's not likely you are going to find a manual for a vintage Singer. However, the older Singers didn't change a lot from one model to the next, so you should be able to find information on multiple web sites and videos that would be helpful.

How do I thread a Singer 3014

You can buy a copy of the manual. Ebay has one just now.

If you enter the model number and make into google, you will find other sources for manuals as well. Most Singers are not hard to thread, but some of the older ones have a few quirks. Get a manual so you can make sure you've got it right.

Sewing machine basics are whenever you have thread balling up, you stop, clean all lint from around the bobbin case and feed dogs, check all the guides to make sure none have any damage, put in a new needle, in case the old one has a small burr or other damage, and rethread the machine. Then turn the hand wheel slowly and watch the thread move, to see if it's catching anywhere.

Also check the upper thread tension, because if it is too tight or too loose it can cause a lot of problems. And lint buildup around the bobbin is often the cause of bobbin problems.

I need a manual, just a starter for the singer 2517. Just something to get me started Just need to know how to thread, why it is buckiling in the back of the stitching

you can download a copy of the manual for a few bucks from this site

just about any parts you might need for that machine you can get from here

before you start sewing make sure the bobin thread is under the presser foot not above .. it should be under and out the back a couple of inches ..

you might find that model or one similar at the library ..

here is a singer site to help with threading

singer itself gets a bit more for manuals but its available here:

Upper thread breaking on singer machine

Check that your bobbin thread is not wound too tightly or too loose. Also adjust your tension down a click at a time until it stops breaking, testing on scrap fabric. Singer provided manuals online. Look it up here:

How do I thread my Singer 7422?

I suggest you do a search on youtube on how to thread a sewing machine and choose a video showing a similar machine as there are really only about 3 basic types of machine as regards the threading.
Some of these instruction videos are very good and you will find it much easier than explanations. However-the important thing is that the thread must go between the tension discs by your tension regulator and do make sure you have a good need le in the machine, inserted correctly.
