Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have recently formatted my toshiba satellite A135 after I was unable to restore Win XP Pro; now whenever I insert a flash disk the notebook hangs and won't respond until I switch it off using the power button. I would be glad if you could offer a solution to this problem... Kamau

I think it may be affected with virus. Run windows malicious removal tool, try again reformat, reinstall the antivirus program/ update the program will solve the problem.Try it
Thanks

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My laptop was formatted recently from vista to xp and now whenever I plug and external device like flash drive, it freezes/hangs the system and will only normalise after I force shut down.

You should install the drivers required to run the system correctly.
Go to www.toshiba.computers-europe.com and there you will be able to update the firmware and software as you require it.
Hope that helps.

Toshiba satellite memory stick problem

Sometimes when a flash memory stick fails because it was not removed from the USB port properly. If the device is removed by just pulling it out of the USB port, it can cause the flash device to fail, you must click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the Task Bar and select the device you wish to remove and only do so when instructed to do so.

When the flash memory device appears to malfunction it maybe possible to restore it by reformatting it. Insert the flash drive into the USB port then Click on Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management.
Then right click on Disk 1 removable drive and click Format. After the flash drive has been formatted it will indicate that it is Healthy.

You need to format the external drive. Format the drive as primary drive and in FAT32. (FAT32 will allow data to be exchanged between MACs and PCs).
Insert the external hard drive into the USB port then Click on Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management.
Then right click on Disk 1 removable drive and click Format. After the flash drive has been formatted it will indicate that it is Health
