I have a Medion MD96920 which I purchased from aldi in May 2008. but cannot find updates, sat keeps telling me out of date contact manufacturer ..where?

I don't know where you are in the world, so this may not be as helpful as I would wish.
In terms of goods failing then in the UK the sales contract is NOT with the manufacturer, but with the selling party. If the steamer was new at point of purchase, it may be worth going back to Aldi, as they may have a more direct way of contacting the manufacturer if they don't accept their responsibility as a vendor to sell goods of "merchantable quality"

Fixya is not related to Aldi or any other stores in any way. Just go to the manufacturer's site, and look up your model from there. If you can't locate your model, they should have a help or contact section.

This is not the Aldi site, so no one here will have receipts of your purchases.
Aldi only allows returns within 30 days, and usually will not accept a return if you do not have the receipt. You could contact the manufacturer, but you may just need new batteries.

OK, what you need to do, is go to the GPS Manufacturers website, download the latest software for your unit and PC. Install this as Administrator. Now connect up your GPS via the USB cable. Then turn on the GPS, then update using this software, Reboot and using it's now, updated software, download, any updates, as may be, from the website, it is all done through the GPS's internal program.
