I have purchased a Maytag washer mtw6300tqo and it leaked from the first day it arrived. It does not leak DURING the cycles but leaks profusely a few hours later. I have had service techs look at it and because they cannot duplicate the problem when there are here, they do nothing and Maytag told me to keep a mop nearby. We have moved the washer to make sure that it was indeed the washer that was leaking and wherever we move it, there is a flood.

- Well, everything was checked and they found no leaks, runs, or anything wrong. But there is a flood in the laundry room and it leaks wherever we move it so there is a problem somewhere.
Is there water inside the tub after it starts leaking? If so the valve that lets the water into the machine could have a bad seal and overfilling the machine with water when it is not being used. Or one of your water hose seals could be leaking. Make sure the hoses are tight. Beyond that there is nothing to cause a profuse amount of water when the machine is not being used.

- I wasn't saying there wasn't a problem. I was just saying the hoses and the valve are the only two possiblities in the situation you described. Sorry I probably worded that wrong.
When your Maytag top
load washing machine leaks water, check the following parts.
The first place you need to check is behind the washer, check the two fill hoses and the water mixing valve.
The next thing to do is to remove the front panel, set the washer on the regular cycle and turn it on to start filling.
Use
a drop light and check all the hoses under the washer as the washer is
filling. Make sure to keep your hands away from any moving parts.
If the hoses are ok, check the pump for leaks. When the bearings in the pump wear out, that is when the pump will get noisy and
that could cause your washing machine water leaks.
Another
place that the washer could leak water from, is the stem & seal on
the holding tank. When washer leaks water from the stem & seal, the
water leaks down the center of the transmission.

I am having trouble with my Maytag washer. When the wash cycle is over the clothes are often still wet. It seems to have trouble getting the water out of the basket during the rinse and spin cycles. Could this be a pump problem? Is it worth fixing? We bought the machine used, we have had it 7 years, we believe it to be about 10 years old. Is it a pump? Is it worth fixing?
