Question about Washing Machines

To replace the bearings, you'll have to be able to get the shaft out.. This is part of the inner drum and should probably be changed along with the bearings and seals.
By all means have a go at replacing the worn components, but you'll probably find that unless you replace everything you won't get a long life from the overhaul.
In fact, paying to have a workshop job done is probably worth the extra. You'll have a warranty, and (hopefully) a professional job which will give you good value for money..
There are a lot of things which can effect the life of the components in a rebuild..
