No model or brand supplied...
To replace the bearings, you'll have to be able to get the shaft out.. This is part of the inner drum and should probably be changed along with the bearings and seals.
By all means have a go at replacing the worn components, but you'll probably find that unless you replace everything you won't get a long life from the overhaul.
In fact, paying to have a workshop job done is probably worth the extra. You'll have a warranty, and (hopefully) a professional job which will give you good value for money..
There are a lot of things which can effect the life of the components in a rebuild..
Check the price of a new machine.. You may be surprised!!
Get quotes.
Good luck....Nomess

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Replace bearings in drum

If this is a front load washer, replacing the back drum bearings is probably not worth it cost and time. It usually requires a complete strip down and removal of the complete outer tub and drum assembly.Once removed the outer tub has to be split in half to remove the spin drum. Rear bearing is sometimes part of the back half of the outer tub so that half will need to be replaced and possibly the rear shaft on the back of the spin basket. I have done a few and it takes 2 techs and about 4 or 5 hrs to do the complete job. Only worth the time and parts if still under warranty.

How do I change the drum bearings?

The only 100% solution is to replace the whole rear tub half complete with bearings, you may also need to replace the drum shaft as well, because any slight wear on it will lead to premature falure of the bearings.

Bearing noise

You have to remove the outer tub assy from the cabinet then split the halfs, We're told the the bearings are part of the rear tub housing. You might be able to press out the bearings
