The power cables are working The printer clearly

The power cables are working The printer clearly has power as the HP logo is scrolling away However, press the ON button and nothing happens (no green light) Have rebooted, re-installed HP software and still no communication between printer and computer

I think you should check the cable that connects the printer to the computer. I suggest you change the cable and see if it works.

Please try disconnecting the power cable for a few minutes. Then, reconnect the power cable and try turning it on.

This was solved really well on this blog. It is some problem with the wifi board. If you disconnect it (no so hard and well explained on the blog) you will have network printing over a cable but no wireless.

HP 7410 will not boot. It powers up and the HP logo appears on the screen with a progress bar. The display then scrambles and the power light flashes green. No buttons work or do anything.


connect the printer directly to the wall socket for the power supply if it is connected thrugh surge protector.
perform a reset :

unplug the power cable .
press and hold # and 6 key on the printer..
plug in the cable wait for 20 secs then release the buttons..
after this the printer will re-initialize .. this may take few mins..

and chek after that

We have an error code09,008.43:9381. I checked


You have an ink stick fault.
enter diagnostics power off then power on.
When powering on press the back and help buttons (at the same time) before the XEROX logo get to the center.
when in diagnostics. scroll to the function menu, then scroll to the clear ISC Faults and follow directions on screen.

Trying to clear memory on HP #D1420


You need to clear the print queue in the printer properties.
go to start >printers and faxes > double click on your printer.
click on the word printer (on the upper left corner),when the window pops up. then scroll down to cancel all documents. This will clear the print queue.

Afterwards, power off the printer and the computer. wait 30 seconds, power up the printer, wait 30 seconds, then power on the computer.

Printer keeps printing one line gibberish and then scrolls on


1) click the printer icon in the tasktray to open the printer tasks and delete any active print jobs, and wait for the task to be deleted.

2) power off the printer and power it back on that should clear it.

3) you may need to power it on and off more than once.
