This sounds more like two faults,, a motor fault and a bearing fault
if the bearings on the dryer drum have worn out and the drum is draging the sides of the dryer the poor old motor is working its hart out trying to turn the drum this is putting a lot of load on the motor and the motor is pulling a lot more amps to do the work,, this trips the trip in the fusebox good job too or the motor would catch fire! ,,,yes i did say "catch fire!!!" to test the drum bearings,
open the dryer door and see if you can lift the drum up if you can the bearings have worn out,,there should only be a small amount of lift in the drum
as for the motor,,,its had it now? its been cooked!

My Creda Reflection double oven keeps tripping the oven fuse when I turn it on? It doesn't trip straight away, it works for a minute or so and then trips the fuse. Any ideas?

call an electrician to check the circuit insulation for shorts
could be vermin cooked across electrical terminals , failing insulation, grease /fat across terminals
dead shorts trip the breaker immediately, ground leakage problems take a little longer

My machine fills with water and before the drum starts to rotate, it blows the fuse.

If your talking about tripping the breaker its designed to trip under load. Yes if something is keeping the drum from turning that put a load on the breaker and trips it..It will keep tripping until there's no over load on the drum...I'm guessing your talking about a washing machine... You can take the belt off the motor and if the motor is good it will turn on but not spin the drum...Then you know the motor is good and something is preventing the drum from turning. And if the motor is bad you can smell a burnt smell if you get close enough to the motor..Hope this helps

Making a noise when spinning

Probably somethins stuck around the outside of the drum. Usual cause is the metal parts from bras or something similiar. With machine switched off and unplugged turn the drum manually and see what happens. If still noisy something like above is stuck.

Older Whirlpool front loader machine busted belt

it sounds like your bearings have seized and the reason that the drum is turning from the front but not from the pulley at the back is your "spider" or the y shaped metal support that connects the drum to the shaft that has the pulley on it is broken. this is a difficult repair which usually takes me about 3hrs. now you say that the machine is tripping your safety switch,i think that the steel drum, when it broke the support damaged the element .has it been noisy on spin? to repair this problem you need quite a few parts. now to verify that the drum has separated from the support is to turn the drum from the front and if the pulley at the back does not move; then the support is broken. hope this helps. please reply for further help if needed. good luck

CREDA SIMPLICITY 1000 KEEPS TRIPPING FUSE BOX

Start by removing the top cover, and unplugging motor, then try it, if still trips, then disconnect heater, it is likely to be one or the other.
Hope this is of assisistance to you.

Creda IWD12 makes noise when spinning but still works ok

Either a concrete balance weight is loose or broken, or the main drum bearings are worn. Spin the drum by hand, and if it feels noisy or rough, then it is the main drum bearings that have failed.

Drum is sparking when spinning the clothes

Sounds to me as though the main drum bearings have gone and the drum is catching the internal parts.
I f the drum is turned by hand and it feels rough or is noisy, then it is the main bearings.
