HI, I have purchased a 17" color monitor from the Dealer but after 2 years It's display coming after 10 or 15 miniutes so i have complaint on 16-July-10 Samsung customer care and one agent was come and received my monitor for Repairing but till now i did not received my monitor from the your end. whenver i am calling to in samsung customer care but it is not given me suitable reply. Customer care guys telling me i have no update from the Service center and when i am calling the Repair service center in Papargang Industrial area it was saying we have not found any reply from Dealer. i don't know what happend with the monitor and me. Please do reply me asap what is going on wrong with the monitor. Thanks Vijay Prakash

I want to check my warranty time


Hi ghostrider_t,

Usually the warranty which is being provided these days for monitors is 5 years, I too have the same model that you have described.

Please refer to the warrantly card that you have received along with the monitor so that you come to know the exact period of warranty , it would be in months or years.

LG 700E CRT 17" monitor,


problem with the monitor Display cable. it is damaged.

Normally monitor will receive 3 colors red, green, Blue signals from CPU. If one cable i.e Red wire connection is missing in display cable which is connected to monitor, Red color image on monitor wil be replaced with other fade color.
So, need the replace the display cable or display connector!

check the signal cable bend it in on condition and look what difference in color occurs if so then replace the cable if not that fault then ther is a dry solder on the base of monitor find out and clear it

Color Problem


all of you mentioned are correct. if they cannot work on color setting of your monitor and for the setting of your resolutions it could be the monitor. the monitor cannot support the color bit mode which required for the windows vista it could be a 16bit color mode which only display for not more than 63herts for the Hi color vsynch compare for the 256color if you have a Hi color settings for about more than 63herst vsynch. it cannot display properly. thanks

I have a yellow haze overall. Color distorted not very clear.


Some reasons for the above problem......
1. Faulty connectors and cable
2. Faulty Picture tube (in case of CRT)
3. Faulty components in monitor's picture tube base circuit board
The same problem will happen when the display section of mothrboard got any complaint

Try these....
1. Try with a new CPU or Monitor and ensure the problem that with Monitor or not
2. If the problem with monitor, try changing the VGA cable

No yellow or blue color displaying


In a monitor like crt type. there are three colors amplifier. Red, Green and Blue. I think the Blue color amplifier is defective. Try check the biasing and also the transistor.

Analog Monitor problem


The problem in your monitor is SRGB
Use 3 simple steps to rectify this problem
1. Connect your monitor to another CPU
2. Change The Resolution to 800x600 32/24bit
(After 2 Miniuts SRGB will Reset)
3. After 5 Miniuts change the monitor to your CPU

Screen flicker, color swirls


Mine does the same has done since new, It was sent back and when returned it still does the same. If i tap the top of the screen it comes right again for about 10 miniuts
