HI graffie206 if you are are you using the android system you will need to put in your gmail email and your password to unlock the phone. if that doesn't work you are going to need to do a hard reset on the phone. I have to things you can do to see if your phone unlocks. 1 You can put in 0000 or the last four digits of your phone number. The default factory setting is 1234 or 12345. if after all this your phone is still lock then you will need to do a hard reset a reset wipes out all data on your phone and it puts the phone back to factory setting. Your gmail has all of your contacts. There is one problem you need your gmail that your using now. If you forget the password then no one can get the information for you. Now if you want to do the hard reset then go ahead. I never like to do those unless everything else has failed hope this helps
