You have auto-bracketing on. It's the little button labled "bkt" by the D90 logo in the front.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I bought used nikon d90 from the shop of greenhill, Philippines, is this good camera for semi professional user, any adjustment for bright color image, thanks

first you should try to reset the camera to factory settings. then check again.
if it does not give the effect you were expecting, you can adjust the brightness and colour balance (not the same as white balance in pictures taking. the only thing you can't is change the brightness of the display.
i have a link for a free download of the manual, from nikon usa here:
http://cdn-10.nikon-cdn.com/pdf/manuals/kie88335f7869dfuejdl=-cww2/d90_en.pdf
then i do have a link for a youtube film about the use of the d90.
how to use nikon d90
enjoy the camera.
if it does not work as expected, just bring it back, but i don't think you won't like it.

How to set self timer for D90

Instructions for this are on Page 179 of the D-90 users manual. First go to the menu and select the custom settings menu then scroll down to "timers/AF Lock."

Select this then select the number of shots you want the camera to take at one time on the self timer setting. Exit the menu.

Then go to the top of the camera and find the little button to the right of the control panel which contains a series of stacked rectangles.

Depress this button (camera must be on) and the control panel will clear. Rotate the wheel on the back of the camera while holding the button down until you see a little clock symbol.

If you have set it in the menu to take only one shot, you will see only the little clock. If you have set it to take multiple shots you will see the series of stacked rectangles next to the little clock.

Depress the shutter fully then walk or run to get in the picture. Just before the picture shoots, the autofocus light will flash warning you that the picture is about to be taken. The camera will shoot in the amount of time you have selected in the menu.

If you want to shoot another delayed shutter picture, repeat the procedure using the button and wheel.

Nikon D90 the mirror is locked half way. I can see half the picute and camera shutter works okay

You obviously need to send it out for service. Don't try to fix the mirror yourself or even touch it. It is extremely fragile and is silvered on the front, not on the back like a regular mirror.

Nikon D90 and memory card counter

There doesn't seem to be a problem. The 3.7k means 3700, the k meaning thousand. If you were to take about 2700 pictures, you'll then see 999, then 998, and so on.

My Nikon d90 monitor does not display when I turn it on.

By default the D90 is set to use the viewfinder for framing and taking pictures. If you wish to disable that and use the monitor, press the "LV" button on the back just above the multiselector.

Nikon D90 that does not want to shoot pictures

The camera may not be sensing that a lens is attached. Try removing the lens completely and then attaching it again securely.

Is there a memory card in the camera?

Also try cleaning the contacts on the lens (light rub with a pencil eraser works).

Cant download pictures usb

Take your sd memory card out of your camera, and put it in your computer. A file with your pictures should appear. Copy thoes pictures into a different fold on you computer. Take you sd memory card out of your computer and plug it back into your camera. Your pictures will be both on your camera and on your computer.

I hope this solution helps. Please rate this solution.
