No only my sansa view has no driver, but neither of my two computers will recognize this hardware. WHY??
I already did the process of add new hardware, but it doesn't recognize it. I also have to say that I have an other sansa mp3 player (sandisk c240) and both of my computers does recognize it (it has driver).
    what is the problem?

I need a driver for sansa view 8gb

You only need the MTP driver that comes with Windows Media Player 11... try downloading it from Microsoft, once installed reboot and plug in your mp3 player and it should detect!

hi mr. kumar,

you may have accidentially removed parts of the driver's firmware:
to replace it refer to procedure as described here:

http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=view&message.id=9626

the page holds a source to downlad the firmware.

good luck

Sandisk is not detected in Vista operating system notebook

See the FAQ here - http://www.sansa.com/support/sansa_view/faqs

The most common reason for this problem is not having the latest Windows Media Player installed, or having a Windows OS version that is not supported by the Sansa player.
The Sansa players support Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista and above. If your operating system version is supported by the Sansa player:
SOLUTION 1 – Download and install the latest Windows Media Player

SOLUTION 2 – If that didn’t help, and you are running Windows Vista, apply the following hotfix - KB940199
SOLUTION 3 – If that didn’t help, download and Install the MTP Porting Kit (click here)
SOLUTION 4 – If that didn’t help, try connecting the device to the PC using MSC mode

View/c200: Turn on & press and hold the rewind button while plugging into the PC
