If the device was removed, uninstall the driver, install the device, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver. If the hardware was not removed, obtain a new or updated driver for the device.

Code 41 means the driver is either not loaded or corrupt.
Download a fresh driver from Acer and update the BIOS at the same time as that can give errors similar to this.

Lenovo y410 MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-85JS driver free download

Hi

do you have a error message in the device manager or why do you need the drivers? all cd dvd drives work just by plugging them into the computer aslong as your windows is working properly they don't come with drivers.

please let me know if you are getting a error code and if the error code is 31, 32, 19, 39 or 41 then open up this page to get it sorted:

How can i download the matshita dvd ram uj 8505?

Hi there.
If its Vista you are using, right click on "computer", select "manage" a window will pop up, select "device manager" you will now see a list of devices, look down the list and locate the CD/DVD Rom, click on the + icon next to the CD/DVD, right click on it and select "uninstall". restart the machine and load windows up as usual, the drivers for the CD/DVD will install automatically and you should be able to use the CD/DVD Rom.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!!

Drive cant write any disc

If the unit was working ok and suddenly the unit stop to read the blank disk, the problem could be related to a dirty lector (need to clean) or unit firmware (need to be updated)
In that case you can update your firmware here:

http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Matsushita-DVD-RAM-UJ-840S-104-Download-14615.html

***************************************************************************************
Remember

1) You have to use a blank "recordable disk" to allow your drive write a disk
2) Not all disks are compatible
3) Try differents brand
4) Clean your drive lector
5) Update your firmware
