Have a compact persiro f700 and am getting a message that states that SMART disk failure and windows will not load and cannot boot computer into safe mode Please Advise on what to do next?????

Hi,
You could open the bios set up to check the hardisk and memory card, see if it is being read by the board.
Try to set your boot sequence to "default option" and save the changes. reboot again afterwards.
If there is a rebooting, but still can not read the hardisk, it means, that is a hardware breakdown, mainly the hardisk itself. Try to replace the HD( hardisk) if you have any spare ones, just to check the system.

Your local computer shop can assess it and tell you what causes the problem. we are just advising you if you could repair it by yourself and my pointers to what you are going to repair in your laptop.
Hope that helps you out.
Thanks for using FixYa!

When my cpu starts the beeper beeps continue sly while the yellow led blinks and windows will not runs and show select correct boot device

Hi,
Check the following, the hardisk and the memory card!
If you have a spare hardisk, try to replace it and see if the HD can be read in the bios setting.
You also have to try the memory card, the beeping sound is a memory deficiency!
Check that and tell us what happened!

Board comes on but it don't boot yet everything else seems to be working fine, why won't it boot?

Ensure you have hardisk and OS installed, take off any CD on CD Drive. If still won't work, try to re-seating the memory card and graphic card (if you use one in slot).
Check the Power and Data cable connection onto hardisk.

There is a blue screen then it shuts down

i have this problem before, actually there are many causing blue screen. it might be the memory, hardisk, and the corruption of windows files etc. for you check first your hardisk if detected in your bios setup. if hardisk detected run safemode. then repair your windows.

If you buy new PCI video card there is alway CD software attached on this, you should claim for this because it was the driver for your new video card ,without it your PC will have an abrormal operation .Are you sure it was your video card?you can consider also your memory card,Wiht out hardisk,CD room, floopy your computer will run it can open your monitor configuring the cmos and bios.Try on this one disconnect hardisk,cd room, floopy then detouched your memory card clean using pencil eraser the sloted terminal of your memory card, also your video card try to clean terminal by pencil eraser. Then put back memory and video card again if the monitor work.If ok put back again the cdroom, hardisk, and floopy. If not ok Isolate checking the memory and video card also the processor.
