Question about Frigidaire Washing Machines
It seems as if the control timer on your washer has failed, that is the switch that you turn and push/pull to select the cycle at the beginning of each wash load.
If you are handy with basic hand tools, you can replace this yourself, study the back splash front and back and determine which screws need to be removed to open the backsplash up and then remove the mounting screws that hold the switch in place, unplug all connectors from the switch, then remove and then reverse the process to put all back together.
DON'T FORGET TO UNPLUG THE WASHER POWER CORD FROM THE WALL OUTLET BEFORE YOU BEGIN YOUR PROJECT!!!!!!!!
If you are not that sure of yourself, then call your local appliance repair technician and he will solve the problem for you.
GOOD LUCK !
