Question about Ovens
If the valve is equipped with a thermocouple, that is going to likely be the problem. It's job is to heat up, then turn on the gas valve and keep it open. If the thermocouple is bad, the valve can't stay open, and shuts off, since this is a safety feature of gas feeds, in case the flame goes out.
The thermocouple is a rod shaped piece of metal that sits, physically, about the pilot flame.
