THE MALE ADAPTER FOR FEMALE CABLE INPUT IS BROKE, CAN I buy just that piece

You can but you have a real problem---someone is going to have to unsolder and remove the tuner that the coax fitting is a part of--not real easy on this model----

Then to replace it you have to unsolder whatever is left of the old pin from its center that is soldered into the circuit board inside the tuner-----

There is a much easier way to deal with this---if you have cable, direct TV, sat, whatever----get a box that allows you to connect into one of the sets of audio and video jacks on the back of the set---you bypass the cable fitting and the tuner--you can even use a old vcr and it does not have to be able to play--just use it as a tuner and go into one of the video inputs---

Let me know if you have concerns or questions- I am here to help.

you can take it to a repair shop to fix or the easiest way is to use a different input. try using the rca cable connections (the red, white, and yellow) to run from the cable box to the tv

Connecting Hitachi VCR to my Direct TV.

Connect your Direct TV to the Ant. In connection on your VCR. When you want to watch TV, just tune the TV to channel 3 (or whatever channel the Receiver is set for). When you wish to record, set your VCR to that same channel and set your TV to the channel that your VCR outputs to. For simplicity sake, I would suggest setting both systems to channel 3 and just watching your program through the VCR. If you are still using an "off air" antenna, then connect that antenna to the ANT. IN connection on your Direct TV receiver and when you turn off the dish, it will pass the signal through just like the VCR would.

Cable connection part broke off in back

Are you talking about the part that connects the cable from the wall to the tv? I do not really understand which part on tv or vcr. It is true you can use the vcr as the tuner. You still have to connect the cable from the wall to the input cable jack on back of vcr. Then you hookup the R/W/Y rca plug- in cable from the back vcr output jacks (which are also color coded) to the tv's jacks. If you only have two jacks on the tv they will probably red and black. It doesn't really matter. Go from your video output on the vcr to the video input of tv, then use one of the audio outputs on vcr and go to the audio input on tv. It should work like that.

Cable connector broke off of the television.

You can by an RFmodulator and a set of composite cables to get the cable signal into the tv provided you have audio and video inputs. You will then need to tune tv to the proper input to view.
Hope this helps you.
