Red water is caused by high iron content. You would have to get a filter for filtering out iron.

I sprayed lacquer sealer on minwax stain after 2 hrs it turned white how can I fix this

You'll have to sand it and start over. Here's why it happened:
BLUSHING:
Film looks whitish, cloudy, or milky.
Causes:
* Moisture trapped in the surface of the lacquer from the spray equipment or atmosphere.
Corrections:
* Add BLUSH RETARDER to sanding sealer and lacquer as needed
(follow retarder label directions) .
* Close doors, - heat rooms, - heat objects being sprayed.
* Use air assist hot spray airless for clear lacquers in summer and winter.

Summer:
* Air pressure to pump should be 40 lbs. air assist should be 20-30 lbs.
* To much air pressure to pump and air assist can cause tiny bubbles
or gassing along the grain.
Winter:
* The same as summer except increase pump pressure to 45 lbs.,
air assist should remain the same.

Does red light suppose to flash

follow this section troubleshooting and fix it. God bless you
Clean an iron:
  1. Unplug the iron and make sure it is cool before cleaning.
  2. Use a toothpick or pipe cleaner to remove buildup in the steam vents, making sure the debris doesn't fall into the vents.
  3. Use a fine sewing needle to carefully clean the spray nozzle of mineral deposits.
  4. To flush sediment from a steam iron, pour 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup vinegar into the water tank. Place the iron on a rack over a broiling pan and set the iron to steam until the tank runs dry. Repeat if necessary. Or follow the instructions for using a commercial iron cleaner.
Service the steam and spray mechanism:
  1. Unplug the iron.
  2. Use a fine sewing needle to unclog the steam valve assembly. Also, check the valve spring and replace it if it is broken or has lost tension.
  3. If the spray pump is accessible, remove it and check for leaks by placing the spray tube in water and squirting the pump. Clean or replace as needed.

Shallow well pump is always running

call the borers for ideas on how to fix as they are the experts
I have hear that sometimes a small explosive is detonated at the bottom of the bore to help clear silt build up but again , talk with the experts in the area
probably cheaper to sink a new bore enclose by and encase it with heavy plastic tubing rather that steel casing as it will not rust and cause problems

Steam iron dose not function well the water leaks out while ironing on steam setting

The problem you're having is often cased by a calcium and mineral build up, due to the tap water you're using. To solve the problem, if it's not to late. Do the following:

Empty any water remaining in the iron. Mix a 50/50 solution of White Distilled Vinegar and Bottled Distilled Water (enough to fill the iron's water tater holder).

Pour the solution into the tank, plug the iron in and turn it to steam. Once it starts to steam, turn the iron OFF, unplug it and allow it sit face down on a flat surface, covered by a towel. Allow it to soak over night. In the morning, empty the prepared solution and refill with just the Bottled Distilled Water. Plug the iron in and turn it to steam. Allow it to steam for 30 minutes. This will flush any of the solution's residue from the iron. Any remaining water should be emptied from the iron.

In the future, I would recommend using Bottled Distilled Water, instead of tap water.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

I filled my pool with hard well water. I added salt, waited, then turned on salter system. Water is brown. Is this from the hard water? How can I correct this?

The brown water is from the well water used. For an average pool of 18x52 I would add 2-3 gallons of regular chlorine and filter filter filter
If you are using the pump that came with the intex pool you will want to blast the filter cartridge with the garden hose about every 12 hours so that your flow doesn't slow down too much

My Rowenta Master Steam Generator - Steam button turns on but does not turn red or heat.

- First the good news, the service center in Concord is very good and would you believe they have new in the box Rowenta DG980 in stock!

California Electric Service in Concord CA (it is the only Rowenta repair station in California) go to either of the following addresses:
their website is: http://www.californiaelectricservice.com/
or tech service: service@californiaelectricservice.com

Now the not so good news. This model uses what I call a "flutter pump" that turns on when the boiler needs more water pumped in if the reservoir is dry and the red light comes on indicating it is out of water.
Generally, if you remove the blue water reservoir and turn on the unit, in about 5 minutes the boiler should have sufficient heat converting the residual water in the system to steam, for at least one or 2 "bursts of steam".

If all this works, then likely the $75 electronic printed ckt board driver detector is okay. It enables the flutter pump, fills the boiler with a few tablespoons of water to be converted to steam and repressurizes the steam system. It is the sequence logic this board does that you can use to determine the bad part, find and replace it yourself. There are many thermostats and sensors and without a schematic it is tough to reverse engineer.

The most expensive parts are the tank heater and sole plate elements followed by the ckt board (make sure you label all the connections & draw a color coded diagram before replacing this part) especially likely if the flutter pump does not turn on and everything else gets hot & steams is okay if unit less than 5-10 yrs old. BTW a new unit is $350 so you have to weigh your options and talk estimate for repair with repair tech if you go that route. A lot can be said if your unit is not that old, have used clear water, allowed steam to run dry (minimizing long term storage with water in unit), and cleaning the boiler as specified in manual. It is worth the price to repair OR replace. It is a great machine.

Heater will not blow hot air while truck is idle. When truck is moving hot air blows. There is some clear redish leakage underneth the truck. How can I fix this problem?

You are low on coolant. Find the leak, the red is most likely the coolant.
Coolant comes in 2 colors red and green.
Your leak is probably either a hole in a hose or a faulty water pump. The water pump has a small hole, usually on the bottom, when the seal goes bad, it will leak there. The only fix is a new water pump.

If it is a hose, just replace it. Make sure when you fill it that you fill the radiator and the overflow, just filling the overflow could cause it to over heat.
Also, depending on your climate, you need to mix your anti-freeze with 30-50% water. If you live in a very cold climate, you want to go with 30%water-70%anti-freeze.
Make sure that you use the right anti-freeze. red with red, green with green. Some green ones are now compatible with the red, if you change the color, make sure it is compatible.

PREASURE NOT HIGH LIKE IT WAS 5 YEARS AGO

Plastic impellers and pump cases are great for circulation applications but tend to wear out in pressure and or dirty water applications. The space between the impeller and case gets larger as it wears until the pump just circulates water inside the case.
Pump selection is dependent on applications, with pressure, volume, suction, temperture and fluid to be pumped only a few of the considerations.
Check for restricted suction strainer and hose first, then look at discharge side for kinked hoses and other obstructions. Then open case and look for worn impeller and volutes, occasionally there will be something lodged in the impeller like string or plastic film. Replacing the impeller alone if badly worne may help but won't bring the pressure back to new pump specs, you will need to replace the volute or case too if they are combined.
I use cast iron pumps for pumping silt laden irrigation water and have to rebuild them every 5-6 years, My suction head is 3' and head pressure is 35 psi. frankly I expected better life from cast iron but have to take what I can get.

Its gone off!

The green light indicates the unit thinks it is out of water. Take of rewervoir; make sure the inlets are not plugged. Open the little plug on side, clean tank w/ clear water only, and shake out all water completely. Put it all back together, but leave reservoir off. Turn on and run unit "dry". Your should hear a "flutter" sound as the unit trys to pump water from missing reservoir, the heater/steamer should be sizzling hot & pressurizing. THEN the green light if ome ON, asking you to switch it off, refill & install the water reservoir. If things don't happen in that sequence, you should be able to determine what is wrong.

Tefal Pro Express Steam Generator doesn't.

OK... so I have fixed my problem of NO STEAM, just lots of water coming out of the iron press plate itself... I had already cleaned the boiler, so I tried adding 1/4 tsp - 1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda to the water and flushing it through. From what came out of the iron press plate, I would say the problem was caused by a build up of goop (technical term) inside the iron. Once cleared, the iron is steaming away again. Please note, u will need to have an old towel handy if this is ur problem, 'cos until it starts getting better, there is a fair amount of water coming out of the iron press plate. Just add the bicarb to the water reserve and use the steam buttons to bring the bicarb through. Do not attempt to iron clothing with the bicarb in the water!!! Carolyn ;)
