Dishwasher is pumping but no water is coming through. This is not a plumbing problem: sink was blocked but is not now. Thanks

My dishwsaher wont drain water

Two things to consider....clean water or dirty water?

Clean water usually indicates the fill valve is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water in all the time = new fill valve time!!

Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose. The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem indicates a slow house drain for that sink.

The dishwasher drain line should be clamped to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwasher.

Bosch dishwasher wont take in water through the cold inlet

First of all, the hot water line should be supplying the dishwasher, not the cold water line. That being said, if the machine is hooked up to cold water line, the only reason why no water is coming in would be that the valve is not open. Look under the sink to see if that is where the dishwasher line is attached to the cold supply. If not there, perhaps in the basement. Open that valve and you should have water.
Finally, if there is no water coming in and you have a lime deposit problem with your water it is possible that the line is full of lime and will have to be changed. good luck with this.

D3250 drain blocked error

usually these are blocked at the discharge end under the sink, especially if the hose is hooked to a copper pipe then shoved down the plumbing standpipe. It could also be in the hose behind the dishwasher if someone has fitted an extension onto the hose and used a small diameter coupler. Run the dishwasher on any cycle...if there is standing water you should hear the drain pump run first...if there is no standing water run it on a rinse and hold cycle. at the end of the cycle the pump will run. if you hear the pump, but no water is ejected out the drain hose under the sink, then you most likely have a clog in the hose near the end or in the middle if it has an extensio. if you dont hear the pump run, then its a bad pump and you need a new one (parts like that are covered for 5 years if you use an ASKO servicer) Good luck!

Dishwasher will not drain water out

if plumbed in under the sink, check the spigot the drain hose goes to is not blocked - a common problem. if on drain you should be able to hear the drain pump working. if you hear a faint humming noise instead, then there is probably a foreign object stuck in pump. also check for blockage in the drain hose
