Hi, this is a connection problem between your PS3 and your router. Try in order: - switch of PS3. Unplug the router power cord, hold on one minute, plug router, switch on PS3 - most probably you have other devices connected to your local LAN, switch all of them off, restart the router, switch on PS3 Usually this is enough, if it doesn't work just ask and i'll get back to you with another, more complex, solution. Regards Peter

What is error code 8071053D

It could be that the console is not correctly syncing up to the network properly. This can happen in a number of ways, such as electric power issues that caused the console to turn off-and-on suddenly.

To solve it, you might have to do a hard reboot of the console. This is what to do:

  1. turn off your PS3 by using the power toggle switch at the back of the console and then unplugging the power cord.
  2. Once you do that, power off your modem (also the router if you have one as well) by unplugging the power supply.
  3. What about a minute or so then plug back your modem. Wait for it to sync for internet access.
  4. If you have a router, plug that in next and wait for it to sync as well. Otherwise skip to the next step.
  5. Once your modem and router devices are back on and you have Internet, go ahead and plug your PS3 back and turn it on.
  6. Access the Network Settings menu and see if you can create a new connection.

PSN are carrying out maintenance until around 9pm tonight. So until then we all have to wait. Nothing to worry about though. Nothing wrong with your PS3. Hope this helps.

Disk wont read or locks up-has error code(8001050f)or(80010514)

Hi,

As you probably know there was a major issue with the PSN NetWork Yesterday

This caused all sorts of problems with trophies failing to register and sync with the server and Sony have warned that there was a risk of damaged data effecting trophies which may be causing the problem you describe.

However, please try this first and then let me know if it resolves the problem for you;

First make sure the system is online.

Then under Game go to Trophy Collection -

Instead of X use the Triangle button then select Sync with Server.

Let me know if this updates the trophies for you. If it helps please leave a vote for the solution.

Thanks.

I got an error code 8001050f on my ps3 it wont work on or offline

This is a known problem with the recent update.
As many others have reported this bug occurs when you are supposed to earn a trophy and nothing happens. Somehow user accounts get corrupted :

- Trophy Syncing won't work (Error 8022D11)
- PSN games tell us that the system is not activated.
- Other games will not work either, telling that the data was created by another user and we would have to restart the game.

The only way to get rid of this problem is by deleting the current user and creating a new one with the same name. This however ruins most of the save games because the games won't accept them as ours!! Here is some gathered information :

- It can happen with every games supporting trophies.
- It happens since 2.50 and still happens with 2.52.
- There still is no official statement that this bug exists!

Sony Network is experiencing sporadic outages in certain areas today.
It may be a scheduled system upgrade or maintenance - but be assured you are not the only one facing this issue.
No UP time has been announced by Sony - they are working to get the system up and running as soon as possible.
The problem is not on your end.
Keep trying to connect.

I cant get into my profile. it freezes every time i try to sync my trophies

This is not an uncommon issue. I have the same problem. This happened with the release of Call of duty modern warfare2. Seems that something to do with this game has glitched the servers and caused the trophy sync not to work. No word as of yet from Sony as to when this will be fixed.
