Question about KitchenAid Superba Architect KSCS25INSS Side by Side Refrigerator
By design these units either have compressor tubing (Return side) or have a heating element in these areas to prevent condensation on the refrigerator doors. However, on units where they use the refrigeration tubing for this purpose when you notice that it is much warmer than usual it is a sign that the condensor fan in the bottom rear of the unit is either clogged with lint or not running. UNPLUG THE UINT then you should first try using a crevice tool and clean the lower / rear coils and fan area. You most likely will have to remove a few screws to gain access to this are by removing the soft cover. Once you finish cleaning check the temps about 30 minutes after you restart the fridge. It should be warm but not really warm to the touch.
