I have a 58' model LED58G45RQ and at a certian time at nite its coming on how do i fix this problem to stop having to get up and turn it off

Appears to be RCA TV.

The timer turns the TV/VCR on at a desired time. You can set it to
wake you up in the morning or remind you that a favorite program
is about to start.

1. Press MENU on the remote to display the TV/VCR MAIN MENU.
2. Press 2 to display the TIME menu.
3. Press 3 to display the WAKE-UP TIMER menu.
4. Use the number buttons to enter the channel number and time.
• After you enter the time, press 1 for AM or 2 for PM. Example:
For a time of 5:07PM, press 5, then 0, then 7, then 2.
• Press CLEAR to correct an entry or RESET to clear the timer.

6. To cancel the wake-up timer, first display the WAKE-UP TIMER menu by repeating steps 1-3 above. Then, press RESET to cancel the timer, and press MENU to exit. The timer is also canceled if MENU is pressed before step 4 is completed

My 40" toshiba tv nexxtech

Please let me know if this works for you! would love positive feedback! if this doesnt work let me know as well will continue to help

toshiba codes are 0159 0178 0109 0120 0181 0105 0049 0095 0170 0260 0358 0394 0924 0012 0095 0117 0141

an to reprogram it you have to follow these directions if found from an online manual for this model

Turn on the device you wish to program the remote to, point the remote at the device and press the key for that particular device (TV, etc.) on the Nexxtech remote. For TVs combined with a VCR or DVD player, use the "TV" key, and for VCR/DVD combination units, both "VCR" and "DVD" will need to be set up if your particular remote offers both.

  • 2 Locate the code (or possible codes) for your brand and type of device in the list supplied with your remote. Press and hold "P" until the display light blinks twice and then enter the first code. The display light will blink with each digit and blink twice if the code was accepted; repeat using the next code if it was not. Press "Power" once the code was accepted to see if the device responds by shutting off. Repeat the steps for all the codes listed under that brand name.
  • 3 Search for a code if none of the listed codes were accepted or if you do not have the list by pressing the appropriate device key, pressing and holding "P" until the display light blinks twice and pressing "9-9-1." Press "Power" to see if the device responds, and press "CH+" to try more codes if it does not. Press "P" again to lock in the code when successful.
  • 4 Point the remote at a programmed device, press the device key, press and hold "P" until the light blinks twice and enter "9-9-0" to learn the code for that device. Press "1" to see the code for the first digit; count the number of blinks on the display light and write down that number. If the number is 0, the light will not blink at all. Repeat for the next three digits by pressing the number key for that digit (2 through 4).
  • 5 Press "9-9-2" after pressing "P" to reassign a device key if, for example, you have two DVD players and no VCR and want to program the "VCR" setting to the second DVD player. In this example, follow "9-9-2" by pressing "DVD" and then "VCR", and then program in the code for that device.

We cannot get the VCR display to work. For example, if we record a program on the VCR and want to rewind the tape one hour, we do not get the tape counter (or any other display) to tell us how far it has...

    Hi,

I apologise if I have misunderstood the question, but you should be able to turn the LCD display on the front of the player ON and OFF alternately, by pressing the "DISPLAY" button on the remote control (next to "OPEN/CLOSE").

This is only if you are using the original Magnavox remote. If you are using any other universal remote then I can't tell you which button to press unless you can let me know the brand and model number of the remote.

If there is no display at all, try turning it on using the display button on the remote. If you then have a display but the tape counter isn't working, make sure you have the player set to VCR mode. This can be done by pressing the button marked "SOURCE" on either the remote or the front of the player.

It's possible your display has failed or has become disonnected internally, but please try the above and post back if you need further assistance.

    Regards,

    My VCR is not detected

    Hi and Welcome to fixya!

Suggest to you to disconnect all the usb device connected at the back of your computer then connect your 500-usb device. Open your Instant DVD recorder and choose go directly to Advance mode. On step number 1 make sure to choose 500-usb and not the Pinnacle file capture. After you choose it then go ahead and turn your VCR on and hit the play button.

Panasonic DMR-ES45V - DVD recorder / VCR combo Remote not workin

My remote is not working. When I press a button, I get the following message on my unit: U12, U30, SET #, CHK REMOTE #, or RC #. What can I do to fix this? The message displayed means that the remote control and unit are not communicating and the remote needs to be programmed. To program the remote, press and hold the same number that is displaying on the unit and the [ENTER] or [OK] button for more than 2 seconds. For example, if the unit displays “SET 2”, press and hold [2] and [ENTER] or [OK] for more than 2 seconds.

    Wont play dvd's.

If this happens when you insert a DVD disc then most likely the laser assembly is failing in the DVD drive. In most cases it will probably still play CD's. The part number needed is LSVQ0087 and isn't cheap as seen on the following ebay posting. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks.

Has VCR to TV hookup been changed? Cabling errors will result in no display from the VCR (no tape video/audio, no menu display). If you are using the TV aux/VCR input connections, you must select this input before anything from the VCR will be displayed. If you've verified hookup is correct, then perhaps something is afoul with the VCR. Try hooking it up to another TV.
