The cause of you tv blacklight comming on then going out is a bad inverter board, the issue here is simple have a new inverterboard put in the part is only like $40-60 bucks pretty straight forward and easy to put in if you know what your doing. A local shop will take around $150 of your hard earned cash if you had it done professionally. So you might want to get a service manual and the part and do a DIY repair and save big.
