Question about Kenmore HE2 Plus Front Load Washer
Ok so your dishwasher won't do anything... it justs sits there and "Hums" you can't make it respond to any controls, and the ONLY way to Stop it. is to unplug the unit, replugging back in it simply "Hums" again and will do nothing.
Now this happens because, the STOP Button, is pressed and the "Door Opened", during the Wash Cycle. This should NOT be done. You should NEVER TURN IT OFF MID-CYCLE. you should instead, Simply, pull on the handle, to Open the door, the system will take care of everything, after, you close it,and pick up where it left off. The turning OFF, makes the machine "Think" that a New Cycle, is going to be done, before the old one is finished, and resets itself to do it all again. But it still has water, that's not meant to be there so it must dump it out.
Now, the FIX. Take the Dishwasher, out, and tip over on it's side, tip to about a 45' angle. Water will come out from underneath, this is from a small "Overflow" reservoir. this reservoir has an "Anti-Flood" switch. The removing of this water will "Reset" this Switch, and allow the dishwasher to work again.
So what happens, is this, when the STOP button is pressed Mid-Cycle, the machine must "Dump" whatever water is still in the machine, into the "Overflow Reservoir". This water then causes the Anti-flood switch to jam, and this stops the machine, until it is reset,by the above method.

SOURCE: F/L Washing machine doesn't spin
First drop the lower front panel and remove the pump so you can check the hose leading to the drainpump for debris, coins, etc.
Lower front panel has two? screws holding it in place.
Be prepared for water on floor... use shop vac or have several towels ready for water. Recommend putting at least one towel undermachine before removing pump.
Clamps that hold hose to pump can be a challenger to removeand replace. Consider replacing stockclamps with screw clamps.
This is a great fix.... did it last night.. Found coins, screws, etc. in pump. Once I cleaned out the hose area leading to the pump the spin cycleworked fine.

Sounds like the pump is clogged or not working. Check the pump on the bottom of the machine. You can see the pump by removing the back panel for access. If you have missing socks or other small items check for a blockage in the pump.
If you set the dryer to spin you should hear the pump groaning if it is blocked.

The problem is either an intermittent door switch opening due to vibrations while the machine is working or the timer has dead spots causing it to stop at certain points. But this is more likely a timer problem especially when the machine stops at certain points of the cycle.
Try to push the door while the machine is in operation to eliminate the possibility of an intermittent door switch problem. The timer is indeed the problem if the machine still stops. Fiddle with the timer knob to possibly clear any dead spots and if the problem persists, replacing the timer assembly is the only viable solution to address the problem. Below are links to the timer, part number 131854200, for your machine.
